  • Today was a very very special day. I know I find tons of killer artifacts broken and whole but today I found the holy grail or at least a piece of one. God is amazing and if you surrender yourself to every moment he will show you the way. Control is a total illusion. This has been years in the making and finally my efforts have paid off. Forgive the wind and stick with the video till the end because I finished with a bang. Thank you to everyone who has supported my channel. May God bless y’all each and every one of you.

Love those ancient artefacts from so long ago. Not been held in thousands of years. Makes you wonder about the people that lost them. Best wishes from Lancashire, England.

Just catching up to your comment. Thank you so much and I’m glad you enjoyed the video. When it comes to artifacts I’d love to be able to touch something and see how it was lost and what all it went through before it was rediscovered. The stories some of these tools could tell would be amazing. Especially the hide scrappers and processing tools. Take care my friend and have a wonderful day.

Them broke Paleo can bring a teardrop to a glass eye. Hell, even I want to sit down in the gravel and cry like Nancy Kerrigan over that one.
You got a good bundle of finds. I've found 2 whole points since the first a Madison and a notched birdy.
Oh! also a well large well
conditioned grinding stone with Polished out pits on both sides.
If it wasn't for the harsh sting of disappointment. I probably wouldn't do this thing we do for a hobby. I don't think we can find those life changing artifacts until we get our share of that sting.
    Thanks for sharing.

To me it doesn’t sting at all because it’s just so rare to be seen. I can’t complain how I find it ya know? Thank you for the comment brother. I hope a stellar paleo piece is headed your way. That's killer brother and not only the point but finding a site that holds that kind of history. I found a Clovis a couple of days ago myself , it is very high quality and 95percent intact but for some reason I'm having reservations about posting the video, I don't know why ,maybe the increasing number of characters I've seen hunting this year that I never seen before Idk .I'd like to get your thoughts and opinion. Me and my friend have several sites that early archaic to paleo.
Friend got me into arrowhead hunting about 8 yrs ago.
He has been doing for almost 40 yrs.
Year 3 for me, I found a 3 inch intact blueish Grey and white banded base Clovis.
It was 2 days before his kidney transplant.
I sent him a picture from the field.
    He about schit his pants.
We had found broken ones in general 2 square mile area of ancient sink holes and rolling ridge fields.
About 2 hrs he was at the house checking it out.
Getting ready to leave handing it back to me.
    I said " It's your dude"
"Keep it you got me into this hobby"
"And you are going under the knife in 2 days so I want you to have it"
He has had massive complications ever since.
Both his original kidneys removed per renal cancer.
    Bone marrow issues.
    Lung cancer treatments never smoked.
    Dialysis now.
    Friend keeps on plugging along.
Unable to hunt arrowheads now due to being weakened by all his issues.
But still is very active deer hunting, he spent about 3k last summer making a shoot house deer blind.
    His plan, me constructing.
    Food plot.
No longer able to tree stand woods hunt like before or ground stand hunt.
Pretty much needs a friend along with him doing stuff as a just in case factor.
Friends are hard for me to come by.
I spent 24 yrs in the Infantry from 83- 08 and have been around this planet and did alot of things.
He is the only person I have spoke to of things I have done.
Stuff I have not even spoke of to my wife or my side of family with a military background.
    I enjoy arrowhead hunting alot.
And have learned alot about the hobby.
I thank my friend for that.
Went out yesterday found a wide base big sandy and a serrated contracting stem Kirk
    Alot of broken stuff.
Mid archaic to Trans paleo stuff.
Going out today to pitbull hill.
Lucy the pit bull does zoomies and let's us pat her.
I found a intact 5 inch Angostura 3 yrs ago their among alot of other archaic stuff.
    3 weeks after the find.
My friend another intact Angostura nicer than mine not 30 yds away after a hard rain washed away soybean straw.
We had some heavy rain come thru last night.
Farmer planted corn early last week.
Heading out to pitbull in about 2 hrs.
My friend is going to a infusion treatment at Vandy today.
His Cancer signs are getting smaller per imagery which is good, but he is unable to hunt arrowheads anymore.
He loves my pics from the fields.
Hopefully I can find something nice today.
My dog and cat gravestones each have a pristine arrowhead on them.
I have buried my pets with Graves lined with arrowheads and on top of them then filled in with dirt.
Have put in turkey beards and spurs in their Graves also.
    So yeah..
Arrowhead hunting has some meaning and connection in it all to me.
    👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Alot of the places we have found in known area,s that others overlook where found by us doing survey walks.
800 x 800 yd blocks and then a x across the middle looking for sign.
And that really paid of for us putting in a little time confirming or denying area,s.
For us it is ancient low ground/ giant sink holes surrounded by high ground, or old limestone bank stream courses in those areas also.
    And knowing the dirt.
Just so much in the hobby to visualize ancient terrian wise.
How it was back then versus what it is now.

Yes Ben your definitely living right! Beautiful broken paleo point! Hopefully you’ll find the Tip to that bad boy even if it’s an ancient break. I’ve actually found and fixed points that had an ancient break so there’s a good chance that it’s within flying distance of where it impacted. It’s possible the owner carried the shaft a little ways before he pulled the half you have off of the to reinstall another one! By the way I love that campsite it looks like the ones I hunt with all the fire rock laying everywhere! Thanks for the shout out and we’re wishing you good luck with your new campsite. It is very exciting to find points that we KNOW are older than what the "experts" have dated a given area to. In west Texas l have found points of a uniface design that l guarantee you are 5-10,000 years older than conventional wisdom says. Recently l read an artical about a cave in Mexico having been dated to 25,000 years or so.

    • @benallen7793
      @benallen7793  Год назад +1

There’s no one book brother. Honestly most my knowledge has come from college universities publicly posted archeological surveys… they’re out there you just have to dive deep into the search bar. There’s a Mississippi projectile point guide by Samuel O. McGahey that’s incredible because some of our oldest point types are found in north east Mississippi. His book has amazing examples and tons of knowledge in his discussion about each individual point type. Digging deep into a specific type or culture is what I aim for searching the web. I’ve also put in so much time learning from others in my life. The old heads are key for obvious reasons. Also I make my own assumptions based on all the knowledge gained from many different sources. I’m fortunate to have very close family friends that are the upmost respected men in the artifact community also + all the awesome RUclipsrs I’ve become friends with. Haha the list can go on and on. Great question and thank you very much for asking it. Again it’s hard to point at one specific thing. Take care and have a great weekend my friend

Also your not doing anything wrong the Pacific Northwest is a very tough place to find artifacts. Go watch mountain johns video about this. It’s titled “why you can’t find artifacts.” I live in middle Tennessee and I’m a very blessed man to have a been born here. I'm glad I didn't jinx you wishing you luck but I almost called it a paleo rain, maybe I will next time I get that feeling and it'll be G10. I didn't know Warren had wished you the same luck as well 🌎 but maybe it was the combo. Luck had less to do with it than the time and effort you put in and the spiritual reverence in your heart ❤ I feel more upstream awaits, you're like a riffle away my friend. GL next hunt 👍

Your definitely on fire, lot of old stuff on your sits,I've been hunting this same field for 40 years now and only found woodland stuff probably 100 killer adenas and 2 tears ago found a greenbrier dalton and since then some older stuff has been showing up sometime you never know what's going to pop up no matter how long you hunt a spot. Killer finds keep living the way you are and go buy a lottery ticket not saying your just lucky because it's hard work trying to figure out spots but your on fire so why not buy a ticket can't wait to see what you pull next,God is good.

Thank you Mike. Haha I may just go gamble but part of me feels like I’ll lose whatever I have going for me. To me luck is almost a slap in the creators face. I know what you mean tho and think it’s hilarious. God is truly wonderful my friend. He loves nothing more than seeing his creation happy. I had goosebumps from the moment I got to the area. Sometimes you can just feel the energy. Didn’t know what I was in for tho. Haha thanks for the comment and like you said you never know what you’ll find. Stick with it. If there was a greenbrier dalton there then there’s no doubt in my mind clovis people were there. Probably hard for the plow to get down that deep. Best of luck brother ✌🏻

30 years of hunting southeast TN and never a clovis or even a piece of such. Congratulations home team!

    • @benallen7793
      @benallen7793  Год назад +1

Thank you brother. All I have are parts and pieces but those mean the most to me. Yeah it’s nice finding a serrated early archaic type but the age of a paleo piece is absolutely incredible to me. Plus paleo people were the pinnacle of flint knappers imo. Next level stuff that’s very hard to come by because there were so few people then. Thanks for rooting for the home team brother. Tennessee and Kentucky to me are a hard to beat in the artifact world. Yeah you can mix in northern Alabama and northern Mississippi also. I’m biased of course tho. Thanks again and take care my friend

Killer finds at that site! I agree with your friend, I have said for a long time that the Big Sandys was basically a notched Paleo. Been ridiculed for it.

    • @benallen7793
      @benallen7793  Год назад

That’s ridiculous! Whatever jackass gave you shit about that ain’t out there rockin. Big Sandy’s are most certainly a descendant of the Clovis culture. I know multiple people that hunt big sandy sites frequently because that’s where every 10 years if your lucky beaver lake/ Clovis types show up. Consistently which imo says everything. Also I don’t know how to share a link like that sorry brother.

Thanks for the comment but no sir it’s no beaver lake. I have 3 examples in the video of beaver lakes. They have much slimmer waists and beaver lake’s typically aren’t fluted either. They may be thinned slightly but not fluted like this example. Thanks again for the comment and have a great night
