I’m from the south side and have lots of memories of Mc Creless when it was around and South Park. I’m surprised that they haven’t shut it down. Only a few good malls left, North Star is my favorite as well as River center.
South Park Mall still look pretty active. Lots of people and with very few vacancies. Not like Rolling Oaks on the North East Side, now that mall is dying.
It's unfortunate that they chased you off, I’ve experienced that situation myself the hard way a few years back. At the end of the day, Malls are private property and the owners/operators have the last say. Not siding with the Mall management on this, but it is just a fact of life. Some Malls and shopping centers are OK with photography and videography (especially those where tourist traffic is high and cameras, commonplace), while others as in this video are clearly not. I would have been curious as to what they said exactly, too bad the audio was muted.
@@malcorub True story my wife wanted to go to South Park once, but I told her I was too tired to go. Later that day ksat was there reporting a shooting at the same spot we usually park our car at😮😮😮
Some people just feel the need to flex their muscle where it's absolutely not necessary. Guaranteed (1) no one reported you to security, (2) they're untrained temps just on body language alone and (3) every other mall you've done this with and no problems ensures this was a piss-poor attempt at a failed power-trip. Know it doesn’t bother you, but is just very disconcerting to know at that moment, a theft could've been prevented, eldery and/or children could've been assisted in regards to being lost or stranded. But no, let's bother someone who isn't bothering anybody and test our authority. I don't blame the mall, just that one individual because even the other guy looked lost as to why he was bothering you and didn't appear to want any part of it. RANT OVER!
Yeah..I know that’s there job but I don’t know why mall security is always the worst when it comes to going out of there way to find “rule breakers”. At least these guys were cooler then others I met before
It's entirely possible someone did. Never underestimate the power of someone with a pissy attitude who just wants to start something for no reason at all. The south side isn't exactly known as one of the safest and nicest parts of town because of it. Then again I also remember an experience from my teenage years when mall security picked on my friends and I because we were safe to pick on, and they wanted to look like they were doing their jobs but didn't want to mess with all of the gang members. So yeah security being dicks is always possible.
I know they’re just doing their jobs but they’re doin it a bit too well lol. I’m definitely not the type to cause a scene so I didn’t wanna sit around and argue with em and I understand different properties enforce rules with different measures..I guess they are on the stricter side.
Basically they say their property doesn’t allow for photography but people are always taking photos or selfies inside the mall. And I understand certain businesses don’t like being filmed due to price advertising and safety for employees but I was just walking the open breezeway so that shouldn’t be an issue. I’m definitely not a confrontational guy though so I just left and didn’t argue with them over it.

Photography is not a crime! It’s the first amendment!!

When you plug in "south park mall san antonio" in the RUclips search, all the videos at the top are about shootings at the mall the last 3 years.

Flex their muscles ???
You mean flex their FAT !!!
Lmao people actually get shot and killed and violently robbed there but thank goodness they crack down on the video cameras lol
Honestly, im more curious why you drowned out the conversation with them
Smh this is how you get treated on your first video back
That's wrong they kicked you out for a filming your, I'm sure they don't say anything to others doing it from their smartphones.
