Is there anyone else who feels like this map is scary? almost haunting. You really feel like you are in a historic place frozen in time. The map is intimidatingly larger than you, and you truly feel that when you are in it. You feel like you really are in the belly of a beast with danger around every corner. IDK, it's strange. Maybe because it is based on a real historic place where many people have lost their lives. You really feel like you are witnessing something significant when you play this map, kind of like war a war reenactment. It feels less like a game in this map and more like something that should be respected. They did an incredible job on the map.
I feel it's because it's not built like a usual fps "map" granted almost none of the squad maps are like that, but this one just sticks out. Like you said the map envelops you and absorbs you, its simply huge. The constant fear that any one of the windows could have a man with his reticle on you. I couldn't imagine what it would've felt like actually being there.
This game is just a master piece. So immersive, so much fun, you remember every situation of every match. It's just perfect. Just played 15 hours so far, but it was awesome each time.
Good tactics, infantry playing the role and armor gonna support them, make sure that the armor sticks with the infantry, they gonna cleared nearby the armor
I was in Iraq at the time. I wasn't in Falluhju but there were battles going on all over the country because of falluhju. The insurgents had cut a lot of the supply routes. We had to go to 22alpha to reopen the bridge so the battle would keep making progress. We had this bridge called a "Maybe Johnson" it was like a huge lego set. It usually takes about 6 hours to put up. We got it put up in 3 days. The enemy would periodically motor the job site which obviously made it extremely difficult to build. Once they tried to run a truck of chemicals to the foot of the bridge and shoot it with an RPG to splash it all on the bridge. I was awarded an accommodation medal 🏅with a "V" device. The "V" stands for Valor, but truthfully all our guys went strait back to the bridge even while more attacks were eminent. It was the first and last time I cried in combat. And HELL YEAH I'd do it all over again. Semper Fi!!!! 8th engineer Bridge co. 2001 to 2005

Not to mention between 500 to 700 civilian deaths reported by the Iraqi Body Count, or 800 reported by the Red Cross. Good job buddy, you deserve another medal just for murdering civilians almost 3000 miles away from your home while fighting for “freedom”.

I can't actually remember how to add it to your library though . . . you need to find the separate game "squad public test" on steam and add it to your library. Try googling it. It is probably another 50Gb squad install though.

Showed this to a buddy of mine who was 3/5 Marines and fought in Fallujah and he's like "that's 100% that cluster fuck city!" Lol Even called out a few buildings that was coming up and was tellin me where they advanced at. This is by far the combat map I've seen ever. Well worth the wait.
I love Squad and Post Scriptum. I wish the firefights were more like this in Battlefield, then it would be a lot more fun. More power and recoil and sway etc, + bullet drop makes for better firefights. Battlefield should not be COD, we already have COD.
Yeah I feel that. Especially since I really like how this game looks and BF V was disappointing, but I’m not about to go out and buy a PC for it you know? If this game managed to get a port to console though? Mwah, perfection, would definitely buy whenever I have the cash.
@@Waddedupnapkin Yeah, BFV felt like shooting air soft guns. If they took the frostbite engine, made BF like Squad, and toned down destruction to more like micro destruction, it could be something else man. Because the frostbite engine is very well optimized, so I think it would work out great.
Love this gameplay, I wish I could experience its gorgeous landscape but my pc most likely won’t be able to handle it, but once I get an upgrade this’ll be what I’m playing XD

@FriendlyNikolai I really love the content you're putting out. I feel like if you added little text boxes that said something like "Earlier that day..." When you cut back to the beginning of the game after showing the intense scene at the beginning of the video it would improve or show off more of your finesse and video editing skills. I offer this as constructive criticism. Literally just this one suggestion. I really enjoy what you're creating and I'm quite inspired to try out Squad after watching your videos. I knew of this game for some time now. Your content really makes me want to check it out. The developers should be proud to have a gamer like you showing the world their game. They're finally bringing back the search and destroy game mode? Where there are random weapon caches that you have to discover and destroy?? I haven't seen this in the game since it was Project Reality for BF2!
Squad is far the most and best realistic game that I’ve ever played. Only one thing that i miss is, an engine like frostbite (bf) where objects and buildings are getting destroyed.
Friendly Nikolai has a odd syntax (but understandable) so when I watched the vid with English captions made it even more golden! Sure, I was surprised that the AI got the gest of his speech but I was highly amused by the AI enterpreting gunshots as applause. 🤣😎🤘 Watching this vid witch captions is HIGHLY recommended. 😅 And, as English is my 2nd language I can't really say anything bad. 😉
I saw a video here in RUclips, soldier's were fought by the isis militants in iraq left and right side this was likely happened in the video i saw. Really cool men. This was like the reenactment in the war in iraq👍
I think part of the realism of this game is the realistic gunshots and lack of music. A ton of war movies and video games will have music blasting over gunfights, this feels more like actual footage of a military operation
