    When his first solo album came out I went to see him at an outdoor venue on Long Island and I was directly in front of the stage taping a song and I could not believe the sheer power in his voice and I've been to 100's of concerts. This man's vocals are something 👽

    He uses this one for his acoustic performances. Its just the one he has written all of his songs on and feels most comfortable on not to mention it has great tone. Willie Nelson has a guitar that he has worn a hole in were his hand rests on it, he has used I think since the 1970's.

    I think the reason why he uses that guitar a lot is because he’s comfortable with it. As you can see it’s kind of worn. Some artist are like that.

    It's a 1953 I think but a Gibson he's had the neck rebuilt but he has several guitars but this is his go to that's why you see it so much no telling the songs he has written on that guitar

    if THAT doesnt touch you straight to your soul, you're dead....No voice like Chris's...He is so talented, first playing with a bluegrass group, Steeldrivers, then a rock/blues band The Jompson Brothers. He writes songs, sings and plays the heck out of that guitar. Not many people can grab your attention like this with just a song and guitar. I love your reactions.

    On the full version of the Tiny Desk concert this video comes from, someone asked about his guitar right before this song and he said he didn't do all the damage to it and he got it that way 12 years before. He then said out of all his guitars, this is the one he always ends up coming back to. (his wife made a joke about him having A LOT of guitars)

      I came here to say the same about Willie Nelson's guitar. it does have HOLES thru it. It has a unique sound to it as does, a signature sound.The 1st few notes played & you can recognize that it's Willie playing. Just discovering , came across a video of him & his wife singing a duet & loved their sound. I don't listen to country music much anymore. It so different than the older
      " country " .Really like his wife's voice blended with his.❤

    Hit 16 years sober tomorrow, i showed up in recovery group 16 years ago today hopeless out of options and dying.
    Organs shutting down.
    On march 7th i picked up a 24 hour white chip for my first 24 hours without alcohol and drugs in me.
    Still amazed it worked and gave me a life i never knew i needed.

    Re your guitar comment about why he plays it all the time. Artists feel comfortable with guitars and many often stick with one for as long as possible. Paul McCartney has played the same bass guitar since before he joined The Beatles and uses it to this day. I personally have the same acoustic for 20 year now. Love your reaction and love how you got Whiskey and you. ✌️❤️🇮🇪🎄

    I loved that B.J. mentioned that "this is a fly guitar". Asia was almost there...y'all should have picked up on the age of whiskey, the burden of this broken relationship, and the age and color of his guitar.

    You asked why he plays that particular guitar and there is an interview and he talks about why he plays that specific guitar amd that he’ll never get it restored and or ever get rid of it. He and his wife said he owns 100’s of acoustic and electric guitars and that this one particularly is special to him and he’ll never get rid of it and will always use it .

    We country boys, almost always start out on acoustic guitars, and when we find the right one, for the right sound for a song we want to sound a certain way, for us, that's home. We even name our guitars. Willie Nelson's favorite guitar, Trigger, has holes all over it, from him playing it for so very, very long. The longer we play a guitar, the better it sounds, holes, scuffs scars and all. Our guitar comes to be a part of us.

    I think that's his favorite acoustic guitar. He wrote a lot of songs on it. It has a good sound to it. You guys should check out the guitar that Willie Nelson plays. It has a big hole in it lol. But, it's his favorite one and he plays it all the time.

    If you ever notice Willie always plays a certain guitar that has a lot of wear and tear. I have noticed Chris does the same. Willie says it has a certain tune he likes. Maybe Chris feels the same.
