How can i move the camera while im on select mode, while im selecting the surface of the walls at once because when i change to camera with Shift+C then the walls get unselected. need help please.
Crowbar Nice, thanks. I've been using Hammer for years and literally didn't know you could do this. All that time wasted on duplicating things manually with Shift+Drag.
with the way the visibility engine handles displacements it renders objects behind it, right? is there a workaround, to let vvis handle it as a wall that i cant see through?

Is there a reason not to use the power of 2? I often use it myself and it works fine for me.
Power of 2 is lower detail. Power of 3 is higher detail. The only reason to not use power of 4, is because it causes issues in game.

Is it okay if my displacements are overlapping as long as I'm sewing them? I think you mentioned it was bad to overlap brushes.

Enable "Arrow Key Nudge" in Tools>Options>2d Views
Then set the snap to grid to the desired size. Hold SHIFT then hit an arrow key.

Correct. From VVIS, displacements don't exist. You typically put a nodraw brush behind them to block visibility.

It won't be visible. You can skip the top roof altogether.
