In the still pictures I had seen when you washed the bricks that you also got the sewer line fixed. Great video and yes that’s very hard to dig like that. Thanks Brandon
I did. I didn’t film any of the sewer line replacement I started too but when I got close to the main more of it was broke and I was trying to finish it before dark
I feel your pain . I just finished burring a storm drain on the same type of house with my 260. luckily I was able to angle the machine and knuckle the boom over where I had to excavate parallel to the house. Thank God it was only on 1 gable end side. The rest I was able to pull off perpendicular. That's the beauty of having a small house on 10 acres.🍻
I think I might of figured this out. Your the man they call when the jobs are to tight for everyone else. Just thinking, “If it’s tight, I’m right “ for the job. Your skills are just perfect for those jobs. Great job Brandon. Thanks for sharing with us.
I DO NOT envy you on this one being in such *TIGHT UNCERTAIN GROUND* 22:26 Good luck with all that! Easy does it is how you did it and why they all come out right! Thanks for taking us along!
Occasionally, I get one like this with low overhangs. The best way I have found to deal with it is to dig all the way out on the end of the boom, basically just using the curl of the bucket to move the dirt. It's frustrating because you only get about 2 feet each time you get the machine set up to dig. It works, but it's definitely slow. Well done Brandon.
OMG, I noticed you had to get out of the machine and hand dig some spots.....are you okay?.......😁......Of course I'm just messing with ya....Yeah, tight spot, I was thinking about a smaller machine too but I heard you talk it and how a smaller machine might not of handeled those roots...Sorry I don't comment much but I always remember to hit the thumbs up...Great work.....Looking foward to the next video
Hey Brandon, back in the day, they never seemed to put the houses high enough, and no real good way to get rid of water. Trees are nice, but destructive to foundations & septic systems
Sorry to hear about your microphone problems. Isn't technology great, sometimes?😁 I've seen a lot of houses like the one your working on. I never could understand why they built a conventional foundation and then bury it like a slab without allowing for safeguards against water intrusion. You looked good operating that shovel. Like a real pro, in my opinion. When I was about 6-7, I told my father that I was old of enough to run something on a job. He told me that I could go and run a "canal wrench". I didn't know what that was but it sounded exciting. You're right it turned out it was a shovel, much to my disappointment. On your job it would have been an axe, a pick and "canal wrench" to dig that trench around the house. Great job. Keep it up.
I think I finally got the mic fixed now. Yeah crawlspaces are pretty common here. lol that’s funny on the shovel talk about a let down when you got there lol. Appreciate you watching
Oh No! More hassle with the mic! What a shame - stuff is made so poorly anymore. The mic is really a great addition, too, but I'm sorry you're having to fight with it so much! Roots, roots and more roots. It's amazing how powerful they can be. But this will be a much needed improvement once you're done. I still don't know how you kept from touching anywhere on that siding (or the eaves), but what you dug out came out looking pretty darn straight and nice. Looking forward to the "undercoating" and getting it buttoned back up.
Yeah the mic is aggravating I think I figured out a way for the mic to record so I won’t need the case on the camera so that will make things easier. It was a tedious dig but now it should go easier after I get the water proofing on. Appreciate you guys watching
Maintenance question from another tb260 owner, how many pumps of grease do you do for the slew bearing? I can’t find anything in the manual other than grease bearing every 50 hours and rotate machine 90*, any help is greatly appreciated!
@ thanks! I’ve heard that as well but wasn’t sure how much was too much. There’s no grease fitting for the slew gear right? I’m only asking because my kubota had a grease fitting for the bearing and gear.
Nice job! Its difficult when you have to be careful with the house's walls! Thanks for sharing!👍
@@Dirt_mountain-earthworks thank you! Yeah it definitely makes you slow down lol

Yeah they can be a pain when the roof is low like that. I probably should have rented a smaller machine but I got it.

That’s probably true lol they know I’m able to dig around it. Thank you! Appreciate you watching
That was a tough one to dig👍🏻🇺🇸
Yes it was lol
That looks like a nightmare and a half Brandon. Can’t wait to see how this turns out.
Thanks man! It was tricky
Thanks for the video Brandon nicely done with the drainage great job 👍❤️. Take care of yourself and family and friends and be Blessed ❤️.

I ended up buying a brand-used Kubota U15 this year because I always end up renting a small machine 2-3 days a year for jobs like this.
Yeah that’s what I ended up doing on the last part. Very annoying but really the only way
Definitely would’ve been faster with a 3.5 - 5 ton 🤣
@ probably so lol
@@rustrtal I thought about buying a smaller machine too but I don’t get these too often anymore
Nice work in tight spaces
Thank you!
Should have asked Letsdig18 if you could borrow the latest member of his excavator family. Although I’m not sure if it could break any roots 🤔😆
🤣 no kidding
I remember a job where the roof got in the way of your machine. Much better job this time...lol
lol yep I remember that one too 😁
Nice video and good job Brandon. Hope y'all had a blessed Thanksgiving
Thank you! We had a great thanksgiving hopefully you did as well

I was tense watching you!!!
It was a tense dig lol
@eliteearthworksllc lol
Brandon, need Let Dig’s hydraulic teaspoon to help dig around the foundation. Will the roots eventually plug the perimeter drain?
lol that would do the trick. I doubt it as old as these trees are I don’t figure the roots will grow back too quick
BAM!!!! First Comment 👍🇺🇸
Nice!
Would have NEVER guessed! Take care!

I really don’t mind your voice overs. But I guess it means more work for you though.
It’s not to bad I just do them while I’m editing the video

@@Schutte_Excavation I usually do 4-5 because I’ve heard it’s bad to over grease it cause you can blow out the seal.

@ there is ours the top one of the two on the front of the machine by the boom swing cylinder
What's the test tee for?
It’s the only tee I had for the clean out
Somebody else put in the two-way then?
@hvy1ton no I put it in when I replaced the sewer line. I didn’t have any sanitary tees and most places weren’t open on Black Friday
Bit of a bugger of a job.
It was lol
