    I just ordered new contacts for my 2008 model so hope that fixes my issue. I just bought some lithiums batteries for replacement. I'm done with Duracell's.

    Note to all 512 owners, use only lithium AA batteries NOT alkaline and avoid the corrosion from happening at all.... I have had to replace the contacts twice on my Dec. 2008 Eotech 512 !

      I was just thinking about the lithium AA batteries as an alternative for such an important piece of equipment. Good call!

    My eotech 512 won't turn on do you think it could be this battery issue to?

    • @kentuckyrangetime
      @kentuckyrangetime  Год назад

      Possibly. On mine, the springs and contacts in the end of the battery compartment corroded up. I was able to get the spring and rubber cap out to clean them a few times but eventually the metal bar that crosses between the batteries got loose and wouldn’t stay in place.

      @kentuckyrangetime  Год назад

      @@Gospeed777 i’d start by looking in the bottom of the battery compartment with a flashlight. see if there’s any corrosion/white powdery stuff or like a sticky liquid, like from old batteries.

    Parts kit not available. Does anyone know where I can get the kit?

      When I first stated looking for this kit, I searched everywhere with no luck. I set up “back in stock” alerts on 8-10 different websites and waited till one was available.

      No idea, I’ve never had to on mine. Is it fogged up or something?
