Love the way Abū Mussab conveys:
- Straightforward whether anyone likes it or not.
- No sugarcoating as many duaat do.
- Speaks about the matters that people often stay quiet about because they're controversial.
- Very confident and proud about the teachings of Islām
May Allāh protect and bless Abū Mussab and his family!
It's easy to make a podcast but reality bites he doesn't know how to do dawah.

I'm sorry I wrote a comment without listening to all the clip. A lesson learned inshallah.
I see brothers who give simple Da'wah using Qur'an verses and Hadith as well as simple reasoning receive waaaaay more shahadas than those who try that contingency/philosophy crap. The latter usually results in a 1-2 hour back and forth bickering match where the argument never even progresses because they both can't agree on the definition of the word "eternal" or something irrelevant like that. Complicating things for no reason. Be simple, and have trust in the Qur'an. Allah is the Turner of Hearts at the end of the day.
they've changed da'wah into debates
It can be debates many of the times. And maybe debating is just fun. Not everything someone does has to be for dawah.
@@jjqq4116 yeah as shaykh Uthman usually says. We're not here to debate, but if someone wants to, we don't hold back. I am a simple person, I see a video from OneWayToParadise, I like the video before even watching it. 😃 Btw, this is an amazing clip; a slap on the faces of all those who were speaking trash about the previous clip. Now, I would like to say "IF THE QUR'ĀN IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR THEM, WALLĀHI, THERE IS NO GOODNESS IN THEM!" 💯💯💯
All of the public "speakers" MUST watch this clip!
@Pensive Soul I've been listening to Abu Mussab since a long time and I know whatever he speaks is always the nothing but the Truth. Moreover, I have watched that clip in the live stream in Ramaḍān (as it is a snippet from the live Tafsīr As-Saʿadī class) so I knew already what he's about to speak and I rewatched the clip as a reminder. I appreciate your advice and totally agree with you. I don't like any random video without watching it fully unless it's from OWTP. I really trust Abū Mussab with the knowledge and even if he makes a mistake (which is rare) he never minds people advising and is quick in taking it into action. And you are not wrong, it's just I know that Abū Mussab won't betray my trust. Side note: I am a sister, haha. Wa ʾiyyākum, your advice and efforts are greatly appreciated!!

Use the Qu'ran and Sunnah to defend the TRUE essence of Islam, and avoid the fools who like to argue based on philosophy and their intellect to cast aspersions upon Islam.
May Allahu ta’ala grant us the sincerity in wanting to find the truth ☝️
Ameen
Problem is, because we have been consumed by love debates, our dawah is influenced a lot by the desire to “win”. That’s why people are so pressed to use philosophy arguments outside of the Quran and sunnah.
Whereas dawah is about fulfilling an obligation, an act of worship. And it should be done according to the way the salaf did, and we shouldn’t exceed that.
Just as Allah says in the Quran
“Indeed, [O Muhammad], you do not guide whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills. And He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided”
And in Surah nahl
“But if they turn away, [O Muhammad] - then only upon you is [responsibility for] clear notification.”
May Allah rectify all our affairs and forgive us
Totally agreed

A lot of this is actually quite important wa JazaakAllaahu khayran. I remember being at a d'awah table and one guy comes and says "I want to believe...and I do believe but I don't want to accept it because I like drinking too much."

From what I understand, you can use the Quran as the Asl.
For instance, atheists don’t believe in the creator
So u use the ayah ام خلقوا من غير شيء ام هم الخالقون and other ayahs as your foundation of thinking
Then you build up from there
This is what I’ve seen some noble ppl do.
There r three options: either there is a creator which is a necessary being, or you created yourselves or you were created by nothing
That’s where the argument “امتناع تسلسل الفاعلين” and whatever is called comes from
I don’t kno if that’s what is referred to as contingency argument
So there is no problem if your foundation is the Quran. You use it as your basis of thinking then you use it as your refutation. All of ur thinking going back to the Quran
Similarly, all other forms of baatil the kuffar bring, one uses Quran and sunnah as ur basis, then every other branches is derived from it.
You don’t need ayah for every single baatil they bring. You can deduce from the ayah as long as it’s according to the understanding of the salaf.
And you can refute a disbeliever with the Quran without them even knowing it’s from the Quran.
The problem is ahlul kalam mix pagan assumptions into their dawa and deny Allah's Attributes.

With all due respect sir honest open question. What do you think would happen to a society when all forms of creativity and fiction creative arts is suppressed.
My brother all of that which you have mentioned is not binded by philosophy.
So by your definition, philosophy is the only form of creativity. And creative arts also have to do with the haram acts doesn't it? Is that why our prophets were philosophers and sculptors? Is that why the companions also used philosophy?
This is what will happen, if they die upon islam, they will end up in paradise. There, every creative art will not be suppressed and your imagination can become reality.
brother wajdi i am going to Jeddah the 1st week of august. do you have a class around then?
Even tho the atheist is lying and denying it, some of them it has become unclear for them due to the dust and rust on their heart hence they’re unable to see the truth.
Sometimes deviance is not just from denial but also due to doubts and desires.
Hence, you can respond to those doubts with a sound manhaj like the salaf did
Talk to the one not arrogant and clarify the truth to them.
See, many of them won’t even understand the concept of this challenge so I don’t really go with the “challenge” route. I would think the challenge route is to show them their عجز and that it’s from Allah
The salaf didn’t need philosophy to refute and we don’t either.
But they built their arguments from Quran and sunnah
Fasting 6 days in Shawwal after Ramadan gives the person the reward of fasting throughout the year.
Remember to fast everyone in the month of Shawwal so that you can get the reward of fasting for one year
Regarding the verse of challenging to bring a Surah like it, someone may ask, "how'd you verify/judge the eloquence if someone brings a Surah? Isn't the verification subjective?" How'd you respond to that Akhi?
Eloquent in meaning, in composition, with the words put precisely in the correct places with no mistakes, every ayah being in harmony without conflict and that is without putting in unnecessary and meaningless stuff while also not copying it from the Quran's style. That is kind of the thing. There are other ones (conditions) that I'll have to look up I think.
The language is not subjective.
The Qur’an is not only eloquence, it’s filled with truth, historical events unknown to people, miracles, etc. All these with the most beautiful eloquence and conciseness, and all that with the perfect message of Tawheed. It’s foolish to even try to claim that it can be done (replicating a single chapter)
@@ibn_karim the conditions are way way toooooooooo many. Like makes the challenge impossible.
Most of the attempts are kind of a comedy session tbh.
Even if they don’t believe in the Qur’an, it doesnt change the fact that the Qur’an answers all the questions they might have. So we can simply use these instead of resorting to Aristotelian logic.
Yes. Its matter of finding specific answers by reading Quran.
Did ibn taymiyyah use the contingency argument?

You need to reconsider the usage of the word "while" which you used in both of your comments. Last we checked, "whole" is spelled with an O ya Giant.

The ol' dustbin of history. They must have been neophytes yaa habibi
I am not knowledgeable about many matters of the religion like you Abu Mussab, but I disagree with your point in this video. I tend to agree with the vast majority of content you put out. I'm just clarifying that I am not a hater.
It's hard to express my point in a few words, because I also do agree with some of the points you make in the video. For context, I have some experience giving dawah to Muslims and non Muslims, and I live in a western country.
My reasons for disagreement:
I believe that dawah should based on belief in ALLAH. To acknowledge Him and and His punishment, reward, revelation, and so on. Every argument/debate should return to this point.
We know the incident when the Messenger ﷺ gave dawah to all of makkah. He did not recite Qu'ran.
The hadith of Ibn Abbas in Sahih Muslim, when the Messenger ﷺ gave instructions to Muaath, he instructed him to call people to the shahada, until they understood it, and so on.
We have many stories of ahlu al ilm using wit and intelligence to quickly defeat opposition. We do the same when possible, and you do that as well. It is not always directly linked to a verse from the Quran or a hadith.
The Quran is the word of Allaah. It is a miracle in many ways, and it contains knowledge about every facet of life, but can we call it a book of dawah? It is absolutely used for dawah and it is an integral part of Islam no doubt. I don't have the knowledge to answer this question.
Perhaps the issue with these debaters is they have gone too far into the rabbit hole of trying to refute every argument anyone presents against Islam. And as a result, they find themselves in no man's land, not even discussing the point of do you believe in Allah?! Let alone everything else.
Also, when one defeats an argument they give some credibility to it. And I think not every argument needs a counter-argument.
My invitation to you Abu Mussab is to refine your stance on this.
Allaah forgive me if I read too much into this and made more of it than was intended, and forgive us all our shortcomings.
My brother. What is your response to this. Even shaykh ibn uthaymin clearly says to learn logical proofs, apart from islamic proofs.
Sheikh Salih-uthymeen [May Allah have mercy on him] said : I would like to encourage the students of knowledge to gain some knowledge that pertains to logical proofs. Why?
because of their weak faith, people today are more easily convinced by what is palpable and tangible than Islamic proofs.
I call upon my brothers among students of knowledge to study logical proofs to study the rationale behind certain legislations and beliefs.
If anyone wants to correct me at this point, he needs to refer to the writings of Shaykh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, particularly those writings wherein he refuted philosophers, logicians, and others of their like.If students today were to refer to his work, they would find that he spoke by the Islamic proof and by the proof of sound reasoning.
[The Islamic Awakening, page 131 and 132]
Asalām 'Alaykum.
Brother Wajdī can address this better than me but I will repeat what I have learnt and that is there is nothing wrong with using one's sound reasoning and intellect. When one reinforces his sound reasoning and intellect with philosophy, this is where he errs and has opened for himself and for others doors of evil.
For example the contingency argument, if one by his sound reasoning concludes that everything is dependent upon Allāh, then there is nothing wrong in this. However, when one reinforces this sound reasoning with philosophy, this is where he has erred.
As for Sheikh ibnul 'Uthaymīn, he is generally saying the same thing and when I read Tafsīr As-Sa'dī of Sheikh As-Sa'dī who was the teacher of Sheikh ibnul 'Uthaymīn, I find the same statements.
Assalaam alaykoem warhmatullaah
Ahsant ya aghi habib ahsant it is mistaken to do dawah to the cristians with the bible and the prophet sallalahu alayhi wa salaam did dawah with the quran an the salaf with the quran wa sunnah
Telling the athiest that he is lying about his fitra is niether an argument nor dawah
Ibn Taymiyah was wrong about his difintion of fitra
If you say so.
This hadith is in sahih muslim and contradict ibn Taymiyah definition of fitra
When a companion asked permission from the Prophet pbuh to be allowed to fornicate. The Prophet pbuh didn't give him the Quranic verse, he instead asked him would he like someone to fornicate with his mother, sister etc...
So your argument is flawed. Quran and logic can also be used for dawah.
Do you even know the context? Or are you just commenting for the sake of commenting?

At the time of the Prophet (saw) research in science and philosophy was non-existent. You have not given a single Hadith on not using philosophical argument to give dawah. We find philosophical arguments in the Quran as well as the dawah you’re talking about so both are correct.

The Anglican Priest and famous Professor of Arabic at the University of London Alfred Guillaume writes how much he and Arab Christians admire the unique rhetorical style and expression of the Qur'an, that cannot be compared to anything else in the world. He says:
"Many Christians Arabs speak of its style *with warm admiration* , and most Arabists (Western non Muslim specialized in arab cultures, language) acknowledges its excellence. When it is read aloud or recited it has *an almost hypnotic effect* that makes the listener indifferent to its most strange syntax and its sometimes, to us, repellent content. It is this quality it posesses that has given birth to the dogma of inimitability, indeed it might be affirmed that within the literature of the Arabs, wide and fecund as it is both in poetry and in elevated prose, *there is nothing to compared with it* .

The people who have the smallest bit if intelligence would know the POINT if this challenge. That is why so many people attempted, so many Western Universities tried and yet admitted faluer.

Wait till he finds out all the premises of the Contingency Argument can be found in the Qur'an 😂
Not in the way in which the Jahmiyyah, Mutuzillah, and the other Ahul-Kalam speaks about it.
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Rather what you ought to say is that the contingency argument has been post-projected onto the Quran. The argument in the Quran is simply THE QURANIC ARGUMENT. Not the contingency xyz argument. If THE QURANIC ARGUMENT agrees with some later philosophically derived argument 100% then there is no need to keep barking that it's philosophy, because the Quran already presented that argument over 1400 years ago.
wheres that?
If one with the use of his sound reasoning and knowledge says that everything and everyone is dependent upon Allāh and all matters goes back unto Him, there is nothing wrong in this.
However, when one reinforces this with philosophy and brings this sound reasoning into that realm, this is the error being pointed out and this is from what we should refrain from.
Brother stay in your lane. You don't understand that field. It's not for you.
