No one seemed to care I had a fake bag and I felt special. They even gave me a paper shopping bag which I used as a lunch bag for weeks after! :) Who cares if people don't have real ones? I'm 30 now and ironically, although I can afford them I still prefer real people with fake bags than fake people with real bags. Just saying :) (not that everyone who carries a real one is bad or vice versa.) Just means I don't care if people carry fakes.

I agree about not carrying backpack when i am travelling and am in crowds etc. I will use it on the plane as carryon however. My most recent trip i brought my backpack, nylon tote and Senreve Aria from *preluxz* . Nylon tote was used during the day for sightseeing and easily fit everything i needed. Evenings or when i didn't want to lug too much I used the Aria. It can be worn as belt bag, sling or clutch. I have chain strap to swap in if i need fancy look too.

The reality is: if you're rich and famous, your bags are seen as a sign of success. If you are just an ordinary worker working a 9-to-5 job, your real bag is likely to be *gtdupe*
I think it's a bit outrageous for people to be walking around a big city with a $10,000+ designer bag on their arm, you might as well hold up a "please rob me" sign. Secondly, I really don't feel sorry for these brands, they raise their prices at least twice a year, so basically they are driving any potential customers into buying fakes *gtdupe*
