Never came across a Platypus pen before. Your videos are interesting because you're a user, and not a mere "influencer" - so I can relate. My pens look beat up compared to a "collector's pens," because I use the heck out of them. So, the Mickster's voice rings out with gravitas into a whole other hemisphere. 🙂
My wife and I just gave each other steel LAMY 2000’s for Christmas/Hanukkah, in an F and M, and love them. I think I like the styling just that much more than my standard black model…it has even more of the 1960’s World’s Fairs/Jetsons/A Space Odyssey/EPCOT futuristic look about it. We’re in New York but ordered the two pens from an Australian dealer by chance, but there seemed to be a delay of Australian mail to the US to the items arrived after the holiday. But we love the 2000’s nonetheless.
Good choices, all. I LOVE my Platypus Pens - I have 4: a Quokka, Model 10, and 2 Model 20's. Michael is a joy to work with and I just love the feel of his pens, not to mention the ingenious 3D coding he does. I'm curious about the stainless Lamy 2000, though. I have the standard and love the feel of the body material, and while I love metal pens as well, wonder how different the feel is in this case. Finally, I'm curious about the Diplomat. I have an Aero that I love, making me curious about their other models. I guess you'll share your thoughts in the near future - thanks!
I have done a review of the Stainless Steel Lamy 2000… it’s quite a different feel in the hand to the Makrolon. I like it, but others wont and dont. It’s significantly heavier… but it’s also built like a tank. Which makes it excellent for touring. The Diplomat Viper is also exceptionally different to anything else Diplomat have done. But in it’s own right, it’s pretty phenomenal. The review of the Viper is going live later this month. And yes… I can not get enough of my Platypus Pens, the Model 20 was my pen of the year for 2024.

My sister is an opera singer at the ROH in Covent Garden. Good luck with Die Meistersinger!

Platypus looks great. I plan to buy one in 2025
The new Platypus is gorgeous!
I love the Wagner greenish ink!
Ku-Jaku is probably my favorite teal/turquoise.
Congratulations on the Meistersinger.
@@ichirofakename I’m pretty excited about it

beautiful collection, I think I like the Cypress one the best, but I don't even know where to buy them
@@impish22 if you google Cypress fountain pens you will find a few retailers who stock them, or you can buy direct from Cypress.
The REB is an interesting venue for an opera. Good luck with it! Wagner isn’t my thing. I much prefer the more whimsy operas of Mozart.
@@jamesfahey7188 it’s going to be quite the spectacle in that building… but not with out it’s challenges. Some Mozart on the horizon too…
