I am a Tuberose ADDICT so I was so excited to click on this video! I was the weird teenager rocking Fracas in HS. Truth or Dare is a perfect, heavily artificial (not in a bad way) loud tuberose. It really reminds me of the also discontinued Versace Blonde, except Blonde is more natural smelling. I have the old bottle Datura Noir, but it is a beautiful formulation very in keeping with Uncle Serge's vibe. Chinatown used to be one of my favorites, but I haven't reached for it in a long time, clearly I need to bring this out. The cardimum in that one does it for me. I also love L'Interdit, a great vintage tuberose. I haven't smelled the most recent reformulation, but it one that will always be in my collection. I clearly need to pick up Wild Python. I also picked up both Korloff Majestic Tuberose and the Gold as well at your recommendation and I loved them both, so thank you for that!
Also forgot to mention, one of my all time favorite tuberose fragrances is Tubereuse Couture 17 from Pierre Guillaume Paris. That one is seriously gorgeous.

I used to feel that way about the word niche...but once you understand what goes into being niche it takes on a specific meaning. It becomes non commercial, fragrance exclusive and immersed. Designer fragrances learned from the niche houses and stepped up their note play. Now Indie, Niche, Designer, Celebrity are now olfactivelly competitive. That's a beautiful thing. But, the titles remain. Lol
For sure! I agree. Just making the point that people often say "smells niche" to imply it's better than the rest, and that's unfair to all of the othe beautiful fragrances out there in other categories. Especially considering I've smelled a lot of niche that does not live up to niche "hype."

Learning so much from your videos, thank you. I never realized one of my older favorite perfumes..Bob Mackie has a middle note of tuberose... I think I will further explore something with tuberose in it. I also like Amerige but at the time way out of my price range... I really enjoy all the different perfume options you pull out as most perfume videos become repetitive with the same "scent du jour".

Fracas is my tuberose love, and I will never be without it. Until recently I also had Chinatown, but the oriental spiciness got tiresome and I sent it to a new home. A couple of earlier tuberose scents that I enjoy are the original Lagerfeld Chloe, Carolina Herrera, and Delicious by Gale Hayman. I don't have any of the others you reviewed because why??? when I already have the perfect tuberose.
Fracas is the perfect tuberose. I know what you mean about Chinatown. I love the spiciness but I can see how some might tire of it. Carolina Herrera, huh? That is one powerhouse of a fragrance! Great video and choices! I love Tuberose! The Givenchy l’interdit and Amarige is amazing. Also Fracas and Petite Fracas sling with Truth it Dare and Wild Python. I would also add Mancera Velvet Vanilla. Also have Datura Noir but wish it lasted longer. The Alexander McQueen is on my list and so is JPG So Scandal and My Way. I can’t seem to get enough 😍 lol

It is, unfortunately, but is still pretty. See if you can get a vintage one on ebay - make sure it says ONLY Michael on the glass front without the last name. That's how you know it's vintage.

My tuberose fragrance is called Tubereuse, by Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier of France. It is not a sweet note, and reminds me a bit of melting tarmac on a hot summer's day. I have used this perfume occasionally for years and keep coming back to it depending on my mood, there's always a bottle of it on my boudoir table. It's a linear perfume, smelling exactly the same at its beginning as at its end. Its longevity is good. I don't wear it for other people to like, but as something I need from time to time.
I'm learning to love tuberose. My favorites fall on the softer side. I love, Do Son by Diptyque which is a green, spicy and softly sweet tuberose. I'm curious if you've tried it? I also have Datura Noir and a BUB, old label. So, so good. Also, Peche Cardinal by MDCI, an elegant coconut peachy tuberose. It's probably the loudest scent that I own but very well done. I enjoyed watching this!

I clicked because a) you look gorgeous! and b) I am trying sooo hard to like tuberose it! But I just can't. It's just...I can't. It frustrates me. I mean, it's so annoying to me! And it's not even just the smell of it. I mean, there's even an extra syllable in it: if you say "tube" that's one syllable. Rose? One syllable. Tuberose should have only TWO syllables, but it somehow has THREE. That's enough to make me walk away shaking my head. But I'll listen to every syllable in one of your videos. I have fond memories of Private Collection: to me it's soap. Just soap. Loud, clean soap. I remember Amarige! I haven't thought of that one for years! I love hanging out with you because you because it's often a trip down 80's memory lane. xo

Hello, it is moderately lasting and projecting although some experience long wear with it. It's a feminine fragrance in my opinion but easily worn by all.
Apparently Maison Lancôme did have a Tubereuse scent by the name Tubereuses Castane, but it was sold out on a discount site and is no longer posted on the Lancôme website😩😭😤 I’m bummed I may have missed that one!!!

I love the Micheal Kors, I bought a new bottle and noticed it was reformulated. It still smells good but i noticed it was more tamed or subdued

I have used this perfume occasionally for years and keep coming back to it depending on my mood, there's always a bottle of it on my boudoir table. It's a linear perfume, smelling exactly the same at its beginning as at its end. Its longevity is good. I don't wear it for other people to like, but as something I need from time to time.

I'm learning to love tuberose. My favorites fall on the softer side. I love, Do Son by Diptyque which is a green, spicy and softly sweet tuberose. I'm curious if you've tried it? I also have Datura Noir and a BUB, old label. So, so good.
Also, Peche Cardinal by MDCI, an elegant coconut peachy tuberose. It's probably the loudest scent that I own but very well done. I enjoyed watching this!

Ever tried Tropic of Capricorn? It is not tuberose dominant, but it has tuberose mixed with some spiciness and fruit, giving it a tropical feel.

I wore the old Michael Kors for years and loved it. Bought a bottle recently and it now it smells like pickles to me.

I clicked because a) you look gorgeous! and b) I am trying sooo hard to like tuberose it! But I just can't. It's just...I can't. It frustrates me. I mean, it's so annoying to me! And it's not even just the smell of it. I mean, there's even an extra syllable in it: if you say "tube" that's one syllable. Rose? One syllable. Tuberose should have only TWO syllables, but it somehow has THREE. That's enough to make me walk away shaking my head. But I'll listen to every syllable in one of your videos. I have fond memories of Private Collection: to me it's soap. Just soap. Loud, clean soap. I remember Amarige! I haven't thought of that one for years! I love hanging out with you because you because it's often a trip down 80's memory lane. xo

Hello, it is moderately lasting and projecting although some experience long wear with it. It's a feminine fragrance in my opinion but easily worn by all.

Apparently Maison Lancôme did have a Tubereuse scent by the name Tubereuses Castane, but it was sold out on a discount site and is no longer posted on the Lancôme website😩😭😤 I’m bummed I may have missed that one!!!

You will want no parts of any of these with your tuberose aversion, except perhaps Datura Noir. You and/or you wife "might" enjoy that one. 😉
