This opening made me genuinely laugh so hard. Throwing AI at these loud beach chickens, defeat them with AI - too funny! But... to be real about this, I am going to check this out and since I live in a great forest covered area I have lots of friends... mostly squirrels and chipmunks stealing my bird seed. Maybe I can train that AI to only allow birds to feed on it.
This is the funny (and perhaps useful) side of AI, I'm concerned what AI can do wrong and the consequences then. BTW, Robbie, with you connections, I would request them one that can scarecrow seagulls away (for you) or make them more silent. Perhaps with a sign in flashing red with the word "Recording in session.." or something.
I think it would be fun for a few weeks and then, once you have a few thousand pics of birds, squirrels, and small children, the novelty would just wear off.
Are you now going to set this up outside to attract yet more seagulls?! More seriously I guess it only supports Northern Hemisphere species (probably not that useful in Australia) - perhaps even the European and North African Swallows?
Not squirrel proof? forget it. Unless you don't mind filling your feeder 3 times a day.. Also, the squirrels will figure out a way to destroy it, like chewing through the plastic to get a faster feed flow
As someone who recently bought a bird feeder, an AI powered bird feeder may be the upgrade I never knew I needed, LOL
I love the picture of a hummingbird that drinks nectar at a seed feeder.
It’s fun to imagine the discussion in Netvue conference room. “What product can we make with a face recognition?” “How about a bird feeder?” LOL
Finally the release of 2023 we wanted to see!

Can it stream to local NAS?
Afraid not...it's one of the first things I tried

Seagulls aren't birds. They're rats with wings. Ditto for pigeons. And, while I'm at it, squirrels are rats with fluffy tails.
