I think that the more other legacy maker are expose to sell EV, and the people start to notice all problem that they will face. They will have to smooth they stance against Tesla.
@@gremy1987 I have been a big fan of electric vehicles - but the barriers to entry in that market are very small (technologically) for auto makers - with the exception of the battery pack (which is why Tesla is building huge factories specifically for battery manufacturing). Tesla has open-sourced their auto design and are not concerned about copy-cat cars. They are (long-term) interested in supplying the world with batteries - in my opinion.

Always buy the stock of the company that makes the best product. Tesla makes the #1, #2, and #3 safest cars on the road, and makes a car that gets better "gas" mileage than a Prius, and better acceleration than a Porsche, for less than $45k. That is amazing. The future is Tesla. These artificially depressed prices are due to short sellers. This is a gold-mine opportunity because Tesla will be at $350 by Christmas, and won't look back. Every car company is losing market share to Tesla, and this is just the beginning.

I'd counter the "dilution" argument with the actual dilution and sales growth numbers. Something like "They're growing at 50% while their stock is being diluted at 2%" Also, "We think Tesla is in the early growth phase that Amazon was in 15 years ago. Growth, not profitability should be their goal." Or, "Ford and GM are the Sears and JC Penny of the retail car business. They won't stop Tesla because they can't innovate as fast and Tesla has the better model."
The doubters have questions and doubts. The researcher has answers and an informed outlook. Which has a more reasonable stance for investing? In defense of the CNBC commentators (the doubters), they must maintain a robust and vocal skepticism of Tesla lest advertisers be displeased. (Tesla doesn't advertise. Traditional automakers do.)

Tesla has energy unit. Their enourmous charging network could be misspriced. You have costs now but benefits are years ahead. Imagine 1000000 cars charging every day. That is 10 mil per day clean cash flow. Per day. No staff. 3 bil per year. So only that makes evaluation like 60 bil. And over few years there will be 10 mil teslas on the road.
