Roadside NC classic “Lower Rocky Broad"

The Lower Rocky Broad is one of the best West NC roadside runs to be had its easy to catch and can be paddled at a lot of different levels. This is on the high side but gets paddled higher and way lower. It holds water well and the roads right there if your having a bad day.

Y’all must have hit that right after a good rain! That section can flash flood worse than about anywhere in the Carolinas after a heavy thunderstorm! I was just up on hickory nut falls with my feet hanging on the cliff looking right down on that section. Love your videos man!

yes it runs only after local rain in that area but doesn't last long

Fun watching all the stuff I drove past and fished in the early 70's. Some of the oldest Mt's in the world...I unfortunately saw how dangerous those undercut slabs can be when that's where the current goes. But it's cool to think how long it took to shape these old creeks and rivers. Nice videos.
