이사한 집에 야옹이들은 천천히 적응하고 있어요!
다만 디디가 자꾸 여기는 우리집이 아니라며 집에 가고 싶다고 하고 있네요.
고양이한테 우리가 이사했다는 걸 설명하는 것이 이렇게 어려울 줄은 몰랐어요.
베란다에 디디가 좋아하는 작은 나무와 풀들을 하나씩 심으면서
천천히 천천히 다시 우리집이 되었으면 좋겠어요.

Hey, it’s Claire!
My cats are slowly but surely settling into the new house!
However, if there’s one thing that worries me, it’s that DD keeps thinking that we still live in our old place, and wants to go back home.
It’s not easy trying to explain to a cat that they’ve moved into a new place.
That’s why my plan is to help recreate the things that DD loved about our old place by planting some small trees and grass in the balcony.
Maybe the familiar sights will help him slowly adjust to his new environment, and he’ll come to love this place just as much as he loved our last house!
As for me, moving and gardening take a lot of effort, so I’ll cool off with a nice, cold drink from one of our new Cheers! glass cups, available in LuLu and LaLa editions! Get yours here!

He really loves the challenge of opening things, so opening doors and gates was probably a good distraction in his daily routine.

DD definitely misses the garden, that was his favourite place.
I'd suggest taking DD on trips here and there, like you've done with TT/Lulu.

You should try taking DD on walks since he loves the outside so much. He would probably enjoy it and it will help him adjust to the new home.
Poor little DD 😢. I think he misses his garden since he loves to go outside, and he may be a little depressed because he can’t go outside. Like some of the other commenters said, it may be a good idea to take him to a park on a leash so he can enjoy the outdoors.
I wonder if NaNa swung at General because she thought that he was a threat to DoDo, and she’s a little stressed from the move. She’s usually the biggest love bug toward the other cats in the house, but she still has a motherly instinct toward DoDo.

it hurts my heart to see how Nana changed from a friendly cat to timid :( still remember the video when claire taught her to do hand shake and how warm she is to others. Maybe you can try get a professional help to gain back her trust.

Maybe set up some treats hidden in cabinets for him to open and find? He is a curious kitty and talented at opening doors so find a way to intrigue his particular intellect. I am so sorry your kitties are having such a hard time at the change, maybe since there are so many now they aren't feeling the attention they received after your last move? Are there any Cat Psychologist's available there, maybe they could offer suggestions on your cats anxiety issues? Good luck Claire and all your kitties.

DD is definitely a middle aged man on the inside,,.. like missing the old place. If he could complaint he'd probably complain about how it's easier to find stuff in the old place or there's a corner that he could relax there

Yes, cats unlike dogs have a hard time changing homes. Many times they run away to try and go back to the former home.
Oh I spoke too soon LOL. I made a comment when I saw DD looking so sad and wanting to go back to the former place. I am glad there will be a makeshift garden for the cats.

The balcony if any, should be cat-proof, specially higher floors. Some cat grass or cat mint will be great. Will there be birds at your floor? And get a fake fish tank as “cat tv”. Otherwise harness him and go for a walk.
Can you train DD on a harness and take him outside for a walk?

If I was a millionaire I would buy you a home of your own near there with a garden to enjoy for you& your cats to live in for as long as you all lived . I wish I could do that for you so you would only have to take care of you& your Loverly Kitties . I do enjoy your videos every upload of what the cats are up to including the vet visits bring me joy. Moving is always so hard 😢. When we moved the only thing that helped my rescue cat was a calming collar (Pheromone). Maybe that will help poor Nana or your other kitties as they adjust. Maybe DD like to go on adventure outside sometime in your stroller !
I hope some day you'll be able to get a house of your own (perhaps in the country side ? ) so you can have the biggest garden ever for your kitties 😻 and you won't have to worry about moving again !

Just only a suggestion: maybe you can get a harness to leash onto DD and bring him out for a walk.. just outside of your lift area? Perhaps might kill his boredom! You might not think it’s possible but can give it a try! 😊
Hi Claire. Don't worry about DD, he will adjust to your new home with time. Maybe some new toys might cheer him up. Our cat, Loki, hid inside the closet for a whole day when we moved. We got him a laser pointer toy and he couldn't resist coming out to play. He's all settled now. I'm sure DD will do the same 😊🩷

Dr. CoCo is very hygienic (including from his own saliva), is that the reason prince rarely grooms, so that his body doesn't smell like his saliva? 😅😂

I suggest more trips out for DD and the other cats who really loved the garden. It must be very hard for them to go from having access to an outdoor space to being confined indoors again. Cats also do not like any kind of change, but hopefully they will adjust with time. So sad for darling DD though.
