Andrew Garfield was to Spider-Man what Brandon Routh was to Superman. Both were accurate and underrated versions of the character who deserved another chance and better material. Garfield was sandwiched in between fan favorites like Maguire and Holland, and Routh was sandwiched in between fan favorites like Reeves and Cavill. But that doesn’t mean they were bad, it just means they weren’t utilized to their full potential because they could’ve been as popular as them!
The problem is not even that, the biggest issue IMO is that they made those movies when they shouldn't have been made at the time... Tobey was Spider Man, there was no reason to remake Spider Man whatsoever, that's why Andrew got so much hate at the time, they just tried to replace Tobey.
They have the most amazing connection, you could see from the Golden Globes they still care greatly for each other, I hope they get back together as they do have such a strong connection
