- I gotta deal on a 78 ford f350 ramp truck! All I gotta do is get this 86 chevy suburban dually conversion running right and the ol chevy guy will be bringing home a Ford!

I was looking at vids for mufflers and what pops up but ol bowtie guy and his race bullet vid!! Then today I saw a maroon step side regular cab OBS 🤔 I'm in OKC so I knew it wasn't our boy hot wheels but it damn sure looked like his minus the drift stitches and screaming LS 😂 It's like the bowties aligned and now a new vid is dropping!

Ole truck is most likely a 79 because it has square headlights .. some 78’s came with square headlights but not all of em .. in my opinion the 351m and the 400 motors are junk .. the good thing is a 460 will drop right down in there n bolt up to the tranny n motor mounts .. they are a way better motor .
Seems like every Ford that came from the factory with a 351/400m either blew up or was so problematic that people would just park them out in the tree row and walk away. The 302/351w,300 i6,351c,429/460 would be way better than a modified

351 M 78-79
Ford guy here, looks to be a 79, but late 78 production had the same square headlights. As far as the engine, it should be a 400 since its an f350. They are severely under powered, low compression and cam retarded 4 degrees frim the factory. You can build them up to be quite stout and badass but it takes alot of machine work and money. If you can get her going and it hits on all 8 it will hang in there for a while, even if it smokes like a house fire! 😂 Lol. Hope this helps man. Enjoy your videos.
351 modified 400 is a torque motor. I had an ltd2 with one in it, Edelbrock intake,750 Holley,headers, and a fmx transmission. It would roast the tires off and flat out scoot on down the road. Great score!
That ford might be a real challenge to get running, that era of ford was a mechanical nightmare those 351/400m engines were terrible and be prepared for that duraspark ignition system to not work.

I have been wondering how hard it would be to put an old Blazer top on the back of one of these old Squarebody Burbans, I think it would be fairly simple.

Get use to the idea of spending more money. Parts for old fords are high. I got 4 of them now. 2 74s 76 and a 78.
