I think the ending was a happy ending. Here's my reasoning: 1. As you said in they end they we clones because her husband didn't had the scar on his head. Now I think they managed to go on that other planet and survire, that was not her imagination because in her imagination husband had the scar on his head. 2. While hyper sleep a human used very very less oxygen that means she could easily stay alive 2-3 weeks with only 0.5% oxygen. In that mean time MIOL can bypass the security of other pods of dead people and get oxygen from them. (It's even possible that MILO has bypassed the security in a few minutes. Because The time MILO told her was the maximum time not exact time. Bypassing a security code is nothing but repeatedly entering every possible bypass code, if MILO is lucky enough his 1st password guess can get right.)
