Note that most of the spells have revised wording in the updated PHB. (In some cases it's just to improve clarity, but many times it also changes how the spell functions.) However, all the spell cards for purchase that I know about are still based on the older PHB's versions.
The flat acrylic figures for NPCs and monsters are great. They are super affordable. Lots of people make them but I really like the Piazo (Pathfinder) brand. Use real minis for the PC's and the flat plastics for the mobs. Slowly introduce more minis over time is the best way to go on a budget.

Minis continue to be where I run into a mental block. So many minis to choose from and I have no clue where to START my collection
There is just so many options now, hardest part I find is I’ll find a company doing some perfect miniatures but then realise they’re STL only!

@@Uberhexation I got them from a store a few years ago - they’re called Combat Tiers, just had quick search and Paizo has them!
