To me it's the saddest thing ever to believe that love is something wrong.
As a gay guy who has been around the block a time or two, I really never thought that two young straight guys could portray two young gay guys in love with each other and pull it off. Just too many nuances, expressions, body language, coded looks etc. etc. Over the last ten years or so I have been pleasantly surprised to have been proven wrong on a number of occasions. Today (2002) LGBTQIA+ actors of many stripes feel accepted enough, free enough, and safe enough to play many of those roles themselves (I'm looking at you Brian J. Smith, Tyler Barnhardt, Rafael Silva, Ronen Rubinstein, and Hunter Schafer to name just a few). However, no one has done it better since then than these two, and that was over 5 years ago. I'm just as moved as I was when I first saw this, it has really held up well and my hat is off to the entire cast, crew, writers etc. who put this together. My thanks for posting this, I appreciate you.
While I agree with you comment, there were two straight actors in particular back in the early 2000s who deserve recognition for thier accurate and explicit portrayal of gay characters: Gale Harold and Hal Sparks. The show? The US version of "Queer As Folk."

I have seen three versions of this show (scandanavian,american,french) and i think these two had the absolute best chemistry. they were all pretty good,but these two made the american one the best

So you understand the plot. It's also on RUclips for movies and Amozon Prime. Amazon, Disney+ and Netflix have a lot of gay series the only ones missing are the bl ones.
Gay love story with a strong plotline , crime investigation drama . Wow its so rare to see such amazing scripts . Just love story guy on guy is fine But if it is integrated with such strong plotline then it brings many more emotions . Truly that's why their chemistry was on top notch , the story was on top notch , everything was amazing in the the series . Just love stories are not enough , blending love with amazing script brings so much more authenticity , quality , etc god it was emotion rollercoaster .

Then I started watching this, Eyewitness, and at first I find them together really cute, especially Philip (Tyler Young) (btw, are we gonna talk about how BEAUTIFUL he is !?). as a fan of the show i have been writing a story in what if this show had a season two more seasons cause there is so much you can work with with Philip and Lukas. I want to bring this show back
I loved this show and Phillip and Lukas relationship is great. I would love to see a 2nd series but I can also see it’s easy to end it at the of season 1 - the lads are out and finally enjoy their relationship and the case solved.
I’m still salty that they didn’t actually say they loved each other like face to face. I mean, Ik Philip said it to Lukas, but he was unconscious. Philip didn’t even bring it up again 😩😭
All I should say is : go watch this show now. It's only 10 episodes long, it's amazing, and it really is interesting. But to answer you : Lukas and Philip are in love, but Lukas is scared of people judging him, and they witness and triple homicide while they were kissing in Lukas' father's caban. Lukas don't want anyone to know he was with Philip, so he ask him no to tell anyone, and they don't tell they saw the killer, but the killer is after them since he can't let any eyewitness alive... The story is about Philip's and Lukas' lives after this, and the investigation from the point of view of Helen (a sheriff and also Philip's adoptive mother). And the fucking killer who's out there (me, having screamed because of this killer in my whole flat for days ? No. Absolutely not.) Well, go watch it now, you won't regret it ;-)
I just watched all season 1. And yes it was good...but i don´t like crime/thriller-themes so natually i LOVED the love parts bwtween Philip and Lukas the best. I would love if they did justgot a spinoff serie for just those two.
