Yeah I couldn't wait until I got home to watch, so here I am on my last break at work! Both the music and the lyrics are why I love this particular song. Depression and life have at times not been great to me, so the being about overcoming the pains and sorrows life throws at you speaks to me on a personal level. Also, as you stated, it's a song you can easily rock out to, and it's just so damn catchy! Each game has its own style of music; I think acid jazz is what I've heard 5 described as (I just know I love the music!), but for instance, I know the battle music for 3 is like this hard hip-hop/rap sound, and I think 4 is more of a rock sound. I haven't played any of the other Persona games (yet!) but I know they all have their own vibe. Thank you so much for reacting to this song too!
"How did he use his phone under water?" japanese phones are actually quite waterproof because manufacturers know that japanese people use their phone ALOT like even in the bathtub or shower. So they made the phones waterproof so they dont break/become a hazard when in contact with water.
"You can tell Persona is a passion project" a lot of Japanese RPGs are. They just refuse to bow out and keep coming back strong. Falcom's games are waaay below graphical expectations for current hardware but they continue making them and filling them with stuff today, because they have a somewhat small audience that loves their games. Persona loves flaunting its unique use of colour and style. Its father series Shin Megami Tensei, is less light-hearted, and prides itself on being a little more difficult than your average JRPG. The Yakuza series reuses its city layouts almost every game, but fills them to the brim with funny, absurd but a lot of times grounded and emotional sidequests and content to lose yourself in, coupled with the serious crime-drama main plotline. Then you have Monolith Soft and their Xenoblade series. Vanillaware develops incredibly niche 2d games but EVERY SINGLE GAME is a work of art with gorgeous backgrounds, character designs and music. It's been known that they work themselves to the point of almost bankruptcy just to get everything they want in a game. They never plan on sequels. All of the above have banging OSTs by the way. To be honest you can completely tell when developers have lots of love for the thing they're making.
Funny you mentioned Falcom, I just requested him Sophisticated Fight and Overdosing Heavenly Bliss on Twitter, hope he pick those up cause they're amazing.
Just saying Xenoblade says more than enough. They don’t do anything truly original but the way they mix everything together (from music, story tropes, character writing, and imaginative alive worlds) is basically a Monolith trademark nowadays.
Oh yeah persona is definitely the more popular series it's actually kinda sad and ironic that it is actually a spin-off series of shin megami Tensei. More songs to listen to, persona 3 burn my dread, iwatodai station dorm theme, Mass destruction, Changing seasons, Memories of you, memories of the city, memories of school, paulownia mall, battle for everyone's souls(heavy guitar) persona 4: Persuing my trueself, like a dream come true, time to make history, I'll face myself
I also love the Digital Devil Saga games too. I do wonder how persona 6 will be, i just hope people don't expect it to be exactly like Persona 5 because it won't naturally they will take some elements from it. I do hope they keep the awakenings similar to persona 5, though 😃. I do like the outfits, but that's mainly a persona 5 thing. Defo the ost from P3 an P4 and even the PersonaQ games have some great songs. Xxx
When you combine the groovy jazz feel of Meguro-san's P5 music with the metal guitar style of the Musou games, you get brilliance. Along with the vocal themes "Daredevil" and "Counterstrike," I highly recommend Scramble's versions of "Last Surprise" and "Keeper of Lust."
Of the Strikers soundtrack, i think i love the remixes of Last suprise and Rivers in the Desert the most, though Axe to grind fits in there as well, such great and well done songs!
my all time favorite persona 5 song is called "Price". there's no vocals in it but that's not to its detriment. you can tell this whole soundtrack is awesome though because if you ask 10 fans what their favorite song is you will probably get 10 different answers.
I got my love for the Persona 5 music by watching a streamer play the game. The OSTs reminds me of the music I grew up with (I'm a 70's kid) and I truly love it! I have a whole persona 5 spotify list LOL
Someone should recommend Keep Your Faith or Throw Away Your Mask from P5R to Jesse. i wanted to join the patreon but my country made it kinda hard to joining. He has to hear that crying guitar riff.
You talk about more guitar sounds, yeah, Persona Strikers was meant to be more "aggressive" because of Musou style. It was said in the Soundtrack Making Off! Its a very nice content to music lovers and Persona Lovers too. I cried almost all moments haha
Great reaction man, i would like to recommend some songs from the first three persona games because there are a lot of good songs imo and they are overlooked because the popularity of Persona 3 to Persona 5, especially this last one. From Persona/Revelations: Persona, the first game and its remake there are Deadline, Battle Theme, Pandora's Theme (PS1 and PSP ver), Bloody Destiny, School Days, A Lone Prayer, Dream of a Butterfly, Voice, Ice Queen Theme, Kama's Palace (PS1 Version), Character's Themes like Mark's Theme, Nanjo's Theme, Maki's Theme and other ones. Persona 2 Innocent Sin/Eternal Punishment, the 2nd game and its secuel, Battle Theme (PS1 and PSP ver from both games), Knights of the Holy Spear (P2 IS), Boss Battle (Both Games), Quest Battle (Both Games), Unbreakable Tie, all versions of Maya's Theme, Change Your Way, best song in Eternal Punishment imo, Kimi ni Tonari, The Maps Themes (Named as Map I and Map II in both games), Deadline version of Eternal Punishment, Hero's Theme, etc I'm not asking to you to react to these ones, but to check them out because they are really great. Also it will be great if you check out some songs of mainline SMT o Megaten in general because all of those games have an amazing ost.
I really kind of want a sequel to P5S, if it brought back characters from other Persona games to increase the roster that would be awesome. I loved the game, but finishing it just left me wanting more.
@@NightWhisper8462 Rumours say that one of the things that might come of the 25th anniversary is a potential P4 Arena-style game. Naturally, they're just that: rumours. But a new Arena-style game in that merged sequel format would be neat even if I suck at fighting games.
Strikers a spin off of the main Persona series (which is already a spin off of the SMT series but that doesn't matter). Strikers is a Musou game instead of a turn-based RPG like the main series so the more rocky sound with electric guitars comes from the gameplay having a lot more action than the original games
I hope you get some more "proper" Shin Megami Tensei music, as it's way heavier/rock/metal-based. Nocturne, SMT4, and Devil Survivor 1/2 you will really enjoy. And probably SMT5 as well, though that's not out yet.
Persona 5 gets a lot of love these days, but all the Persona games have good music, just of somewhat different genres. Persona 3 went for more a rap/rock type of thing, best demonstrated by the likes of Mass Destruction and Battle Hymn of the Soul, whereas Persona 4 was a lot more poppy, which you can see with Reach Out to the Truth and Heaven. Gotta say, though, there's just something instantly classic about the funk and jazz-inspired soundtrack of Persona 5 that really gets to me.
Dude I absolutely highly recommend you check out some Shin Megami Tensei music as well. SMT V which just came out has soooo many ridiculous bangers, I think you'd love the normal battle themes and boss themes!
Interesting that you've only been hit with opening themes of the Persona 5 games. Out of music unique to Strikers, Daredevil is the track that sticks out in my head the hardest.
Have to agree here, no offense to whoever donated for this I mean everyone has their particular tastes and preferences but so far you've touched what... Wake up Get up from P5 and now this, they're by no means bad songs but they're just scratching the surface in terms of what Persona music has to offer imo
Persona 5 like games was a style of game I never had an interest in... ... Until I played persona 5. And yeah the soundtrack for it and Strikers is top notch

Persona 4 is pretty unique but heard it described as Pop-Rock and Pop Funk,. Whatever it is, it's my favourite of the Persona games
"How did he use his phone under water?"
japanese phones are actually quite waterproof because manufacturers know that japanese people use their phone ALOT like even in the bathtub or shower. So they made the phones waterproof so they dont break/become a hazard when in contact with water.
Persona is definitely a passion project. I hope " Counterstrike" will be on menu too.
No....that's not a jrpg
Got news for ya
Cannot recommend Person 5 Royal enough. Absolutely killer game with a soundtrack full of Bangers.

Appreciate you trying! There's always paypal if that doesn't work?
Persona 5 Strikers was my first persona game so this was the first song I've heard so it's nostalgic for me

its coming!
Persona music is amazing i would recommend throw away your mask from p5 royal or p4 arena ultimax main theme break out of...
I really kind of want a sequel to P5S, if it brought back characters from other Persona games to increase the roster that would be awesome. I loved the game, but finishing it just left me wanting more.
Give us a Persona Q styled game (mixing the personas) but have it in the P5Strikers Format. I'd buy it in a heartbeat :D

ONE MORE GOD REJECTED
Some of the SMT V Battle themes are out now
finally watching all your strikers reactions now that i've actually played it lol
Maybe React to the Raidou Kuzunoha Osts, Maybe Decisive Battle . . .

Persona 5 strikes - Daredevil is a banger.
I'm just curious, what games have you played? What kind of game genres do you like? Are you playing anything now?
Commenting here because I also want to knoe
lol I get this a lot cause it seems like I play nothing. This will be answered in a Q&A video next week!
Dude I absolutely highly recommend you check out some Shin Megami Tensei music as well. SMT V which just came out has soooo many ridiculous bangers, I think you'd love the normal battle themes and boss themes!
Bruh I played through the whole game and didn't even know there was an extended version of this song
The number 1 song on that games entire OST is easily Daredevil, could listen to it any time any place.
You’ll love Counterstrike I’m sure of it
Interesting that you've only been hit with opening themes of the Persona 5 games.

@@danielalexandru5415 There's more coming that are more "fan faves" :)
Second for Daredevil, easily the most bombastic track in p5s
It really should've been the Life Will Change of the game, but the game also kept Life Will Change.
"Counterstrike " is my favorite. Love the lyrics transition.
Persona 5 like games was a style of game I never had an interest in... ... Until I played persona 5. And yeah the soundtrack for it and Strikers is top notch
omg i hope u'll listen to Singularity but, the Another Version... because it's a very dark and dramatic ost
Persona intro songs are always great and are followed by other great songs further down the soundtrack.
If you think electric guitar didn't go with the style of music, you really need to check out counterstrike hahaha.
Persona 5 - Rivers in the Desert is imo the best track in the entire game.
It's coming!!
btw strikers is a spinoff
Persona 5: Rivers in the Desert - ruclips.net/video/XD-OFP-0H5g/видео.html
wait how about Plants vs. Zombies haha
please listen to "First Friend" form one piece pirate warriors 3, i guarantee, leave a dislike or insult me in the comments if you don't like it.
Persona 5 songs are good as they are tho no need to take them appart
