In today’s video, I’m going to share my interpretation for prompt 5 “Depth” and I hope you will laugh along with me as I share my rather haphazard watercolours.

Hi Steph, I really am enjoying your videos, I love the one in your journal seeing it close up at the end was fab. Well done. Xx
Thanks for your support Bella 😘
Love your watercolours, they really add individuallality to the journal.
I really like the watercolor on top of collage pieces. It really produces a wonderful texture to your painting.
Thank you ☺️
I really like the loose effect of the watercolour paints you use. Also I like that the final painting doesn't look like a photo but a lovely interpretation . Thanks for sharing. I just discovered your site and am so glad I did.
Thank you so much 😀
Just found your channel. Love your work. I’m looking for inspiration and direction and you did not disappoint. Thank YOU! I’m stuck on day 5….depth means different things to different people…. Love the freedom ❤
Awesome! Thank you! I think anything that is layered is good for the depth prompt as layers add texture and depth to a page
Very nice love the paintings❤❤❤
Thank you so much 😀
I like your painting
Thank you ☺️
I loved watching you create! And I'm glad you shared it on social media. I love how it turned out. Thank you for being part of this challenge, I picked up a lot of tips.
Thank you so much! ☺️
This is great. You are way better than you realize. Great job!
Thank you! 😊
I love your art work!! And your channel 😊 l think it is awesome that you are sharing your process and your take on it.
There is nothing wrong with your watercolour painting, as it is your interpretation of what you see. Take Monet and Van Gogh , 2 very famous artists with 2 completely different styles, one lacking detail (Monet) but your brain adds that in automatically as you view the painting, and the other basically looks like a 5 year old has done it (Van Gogh) but has so much detail that our brain automatically shuts out 'all the noise' therefore making both artists interpretations as stunning art.
I like to think your 'blob on the landscape' looks like a forest, add in some loose detail at the top to create different heights and voila, no longer a blob. I love it Steph and proud you shared it with us ❤🌲🌳🌴
Oh thanks Jen! Your words are so encouraging and thank you for the blob idea. It’s perfect!!
It was fun watching you just playing and putting paint on paper!! That is how I learned! Get a big watercolor pad. Tape off the page to make 4 boxes. Then just mixed colors and played!
That blob as you called it could have been a cliff or hill. You never know you just keep playing.
Thanks so much! ☺️
Your watercolours are amazing!! This page is gorgeous ❤
The blob just looks like a large group of trees….you seem to pull it together you brave soul! Might have to try that technique, thanks for the idea!
Thanks so much! ☺️
Thanks for sharing, Steph, despite your anxiety about sharing your work. I'd be super happy to have as much talent that's in your big toe :). All I came away with was, Wow! I must go away and have a go. I have only 12 watercolour tubes and no talent but I still want to give it a go. I loved the texture the collage papers give. Nice one, Steph! 🌻🌻🌻
Thanks so much! ☺️ you can mix a multitude of colours to get different shades
I love it and you achieved "depth" just what you were going for :)
Thanks so much! ☺️
I really like your watercolors! It inspires me to try more watercoloring
Oh definitely please do!
Your paintings are lovely! I love the idea of adding the papers at the beginning for texture 🥰 - I will definitely try your technique (and I will also check out your recommended artists) 🙂
Thanks so much 😊
loved watching you do this
Glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful 😍❤
Love it❤
I love your painting ❤
Thanks so much! ☺️
Gettysburg here in America - that was my first thought when I watched your painting come together - just the first thing l thought of looking at the hill- your rings are pretty❤
Thank you ☺️ my rings are from several generations
@hilltopviewjournals Heritage jewelry makes them Xtra special
love it
Thanks so much! ☺️
I really like your art
Thanks so much! ☺️
Really inspiring!!! I've been "just playing" with watercolours since last summer. Question: Does gesso on the watercolour paper help it to not warp??? Thank you for sharing your process as it is inspiring! 🥰 (Also, if you've not seen, there's a new craft de-stash event on the 19th in Burry Port.) Edit to add: Thank you for the watercolourist links in the info! 🤓
