It looks really nice! I have both Serato and VDJ and I have noticed that Virtual DJ has it together. I’m in the market for a gear upgrade but will be waiting until after NAMM to see how the new gears are and make a decision. Thanks for the video!
I'm considering this controller, can someone explain what he means by serato needs to update ? Does the stems only sound good or work well on hi end laptops?
Big problem with vdj is that one it crashes it closer the program. No ergency loop or track what keeps playing like mostly on rekordbox. It gives you time to start your back. With vdj it’s no more sound instant. I don’t know if it was always like this because I tried vdj since the last 6 months. MacBook Pro M1 , 16gb, 1tb ssd intern and only uses it for djing
You don’t know what you’re talking about serato more superior than virtual DJ, that’s why all the big manufacturers make DJ mixers and controllers for serato and not for VDJ.
Is that what your logic is based on ? All you need to do is listen to stems on both and you will know quickly who is better never mind all the other features virtual dj offers versus Serato. Just because McDonald's is on every corner does not mean they make a better burger than the others.
Can you actually use the four channels to play from your laptop using Serato or are channels 3 & 4 for external inputs & stems? I am not interested in stems as it's not the original parts from the production & it's never going to be!, Traktor tried it years ago and could't get everyone onboard with it so I am not sure what Serato is going to do differently. If I could do 4 track mixing with this thing I would buy it today as I am in the market for a non Pioneer controller but if you can't you may as well buy the Rane One.
No gonna have high usage if u use stems live only way is to have them pre done n still gonna have high usage. Even with the Mac m1 I still see the green vs b4 stems
@@TheDJLab Nah G, I'm good with my One for now. Static jogs ain't it. Neither is removing all the stickers and reselling as "new" to a customer. Or talking ish about Serato, when their stem tech is way past good and definitely a game changer for the DJ community. Do your thing tho.
I left serato 5 years ago cause they couldn’t get their crap together. When you open up serato and all your crates go missing not once but twice and you have to start all over again that is a huge no no for me. That’s when I switched back to virtual dj. Then in 2020 switched to rekordbox.
I turned the video off when you started saying serato is bad and virtual dj is better. No one is going to notice the difference.
Wow.. Very good.👍 Its features make it easier for DJS to work. New technique lessons. Thanks.🙏
This thing is proper compared to what pioneer just released.
congratulations enjoy your new toy, can't wait what u discover n tell us about it. d-_-b
Congratulations it’s a beast this Rane 👍Thx Steve ! Just one question are you angry with traktor pro 3 ?
That color scheme reminds me of the old Rane MP26. Serato is not bad. The stems sound compressed, but they're not horrible.

I agree the virtual dj stems are better but the serato stems are not terrible and very usable.
People who complain about Serato Stems tanking their computers should get faster computers. Your old Mac ain't gonna cut it.
dayum steve !!! you wylin out here!!
Love this controller I'm sure with updates serato stems will get better and yes the placement of the eq is abit offside because of the mic controls
Can't wait to try Virtual Dj with the Rane 4
Does it have Hotcue loop like the S11? When you trigger a hotcue and it loops at the same time. Usually a secondary function of the performance pads

Lol so it's a 2 channel in Four ......Not fulling 4channel. How is the loop?

@hansh1667 I Played 25 hours a week at a bar. Using virtual dj, I never had a crash, and I was using an old macbook.
The Black on Black is sick‼️
Nice
Virtual DJ has a downgrade version of stems called remix EQ. It's pretty cool too.

It can do all four
Serato Stems doesn't sound good?
Me thinks we all being spoiled :)
Where the pitch bend is. Too far up. The parameter button should be reversed. That button not used much.
Do you think a 2019 MacBook Pro with 16 gigs of memory and 1 terabyte of storage will work with the Serato stems?
No gonna have high usage if u use stems live only way is to have them pre done n still gonna have high usage. Even with the Mac m1 I still see the green vs b4 stems
exactly what i use no issues for me
@donald cannon you need to optimize your Mac to run Serato then. You should not be having issues
@@miyagithedj I don’t have no issues. With my m1. All I said is that it still will have some green if running stems
I use a Acer with a 10th gen i5 with 20gb of ram and have no issues. 😎
Definitely not Pro’s Pro as far as a DJ. Review the equipment…”don’t hate” (have too much of that 💩 in this world) but haters gonna hate.
What was the issue?
@@TheDJLab Review of Equipment-Rane Four; however, first feedback comment “Serato is no good”.
SERATO STEMS take too much CPU
You need a better computer
@@TheDJLab what kind of computer please
I disagree ! Serato dj is good
So annoying
What's annoying... you don't have one ?
