This video was awesome! And can we take a moment to seriously appreciate how healthy this client’s natural hair is!??? I mean damn… just strong, even, healthy, beautiful and AMAZING!! 🖤
Lol Been doing this for years as this is one of the ways I refresh/tighten my box braids when I don't have time to take them down right away. It works well whether you have braids with your own hair or added extension. Thanks for sharing this technique.
You undo the same way you would with braids. There's nothing special to do because it's like twisting your hair. You remove the extension the way you normally do and just comb out your hair or gently pull it apart. No need to pass the braids through in the opposite direction to untighten. I like that better than the black rubber band method because it's easier, faster, and prevent matting and tangling when done correctly.
Love this and appreciate you sharing ❤. I am new to braiding and have three daughters. Will you please show, a little better, the way you are separating the extention hair and the inside braid technique. Also, the refresh and take down technique. Thank you so much much blessings to you and yours.
@@anniejo6327 Annie Jo you replied to a response I made to Maurice six months ago you will need to go to his page and comment directly to him. I don't know the answer to what you want.
I do this style for my daughter when she's going to school and it lasts her the whole term with no hair fall but instead her hair grows a lot and I make the whole hair do when joining another term. It just depends on how it's made, it shouldn't be tight or hurt in the process. So to me it's safe protective style. Good job Maurice 🙏🙏🙏
Wow this is so creative..I have 2 questions. 1. Can u show us in a video how a retouch is done like after a month or 2 ? 2. Can you show us how this style can be taken down when the client decides to undo it ?
Nice.... Thanks for Sharing. Question: Whats the reason for Interlocking the braids at the root? Do they last longer this way more than the traditional braiding technique?
Nothing dreadful about my locs....let's use right language and disband oppresive colonial mentality. Nice braid idea that sisters can wear but not same as locs.
🙄🙄🙄 "dreadlocs" is not a term that is colonial or oppressive. Ask the Rastas. It's a braiding style for people who are not comfortable with walking their hair yet. He explained the whole thing in the video.
This is getting out of hand. I also see people now saying not to call them “Locs” because they’ve never been more free. Smh. Y’all gon always find something to be offended about
I am in Jamaica 🇯🇲and I always try when I can to do my hair by myself since I can't always afford to go to a hair stylist. Can you please tell me the name of the type of kinky hair you use? I would like to try this style out Send the link
This technique isn't new to me. When I was a teenager I would braid my own hair so I wasn't trying to take them down after 30 days lol. So I would twist the root and pull them through as the new growth came. You braid flat and neat like I do so it's easy to get away with this technique. But if your braider don't braid the hair flat and neat it doesn't look right beyond 30-45days. In fact they will start locking or will become tangled in your hair when you take them down.
What did you use in braiding the hair, and I love her hair texture very soft and long, What can I use for my natural hair to soft and long as this,I am in Nigeria
Can you undo this maybe after two or three months? in case you don’t want to loc your hair, just want to do it as a protective style. It’s. Really beautiful and neat
Finally someone is wondering the same thing as me. If he did my hair this way I would have to shave my head in order to get them out or have severely damaged unhealthy sparse hair left if untangled by some miracle. It’s pretty but he’s making them permanent.
@@SheaLaVie You wouldn't have to cut it. I've done the same on my hair, planning on making it permanent actually, but I changed my mind. It came out much easier than I'd expected.
I just love to see you braid. It is so relaxing just watching it! Thanks ❤️
Such an amazing technique. Could you do a video of how the hair is taken down after long-term wear?
Av done this 3 times n love it. Whenever I want something long lasting it's my go to. Just redid them again today n it's gonna last me 6months

Yes!!!! Her hair is everything!

Fyi: Thise are just knotless braids with hair added at the beginning and a one-direction interlock at the root.
Yup
Right, I fast-forward it from the beginning just in case it ended up being something like this. They're just braids🤷🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
Yeah I watched the video completely confused because it’s just knotless braids.
Your rectangular boxes look very nice and neat. Beautiful install!
Your videos are the absolute best Thank you so much for teaching me stuff!

Just curious,so I can wash away that wax later?
It doesn’t lock at the roots when you do this?
What hair do they use for extensions, the name?
How do you undo?

Lovely great job...so only the new growth will be deadlocked.
What a life saver..now I don't have to loc my hair...

I had them sometime for like 7months and they served me well

Yes, I thought the same thing. But is this style supposed to be "taken down"?
I think they're supposed to be permanent
With the added hair you should probably just cut it.

@@MauriceDaCrochetmaster pls which country are u in?
This looks like temporary braids with interlocking which will most likely leave you with thinning and alopecia. Definitely, not locs.
He DID say they are NOT locs. The only way this will cause thinning and alopecia is if it’s done too tightly.
Hair loss from prolonged tension on the hair follicles (tight braids/extensions) and Alopecia are not the same. Alopecia is an autoimmune issue.
@@algathapoindexter3983 it’s called traction or mechanical alopecia. This is taught in cosmetology school.
