It's like hearing myself. You remember the story itself, but just can't recall the small details like names and stuff, and then you break up the flow of the story trying to remember the name 😂.

Aphrodite was the one he believed was good enough for him, but she denied him, and he only stood Helen because aphrodite believed her a good fit for him. And when you think about it, all of his self-centered-ness started when the goddesses deemed him worthy enough to judge their beauty. There are some lesser known heroes that actually have somewhat decent deaths. For example Teukros who fought together with Aias during the battle of troye. Sure he was exiled (because he didnt avenge Aias' death - a suicide), but he then founded a city on Cyprus. Lived a decent live there.

Think about all the variations of wojak or the cover yourself in oil meme, these are perfect examples as memes that have descended from other memes and made new ones and spread themselves. Myths spread in a similar way, and over time they’ve mixed with other stories until we got the versions were familiar with now, and we’ve been introduced to most of these myths through new mediums that also changed the story. These are ideas that have spread, reproduced, been mixed or essentially bred with each other, to perpetuate themselves and spread farther.

There are some lesser known heroes that actually have somewhat decent deaths.
For example Teukros who fought together with Aias during the battle of troye. Sure he was exiled (because he didnt avenge Aias' death - a suicide), but he then founded a city on Cyprus. Lived a decent live there.
