Dee's love for Christmas makes my heart smile. That cab situation was an entire fool. The cab stand inside of the new port area was supposed to make catching a taxi easier.
Shed keep a tree up all year if I let her. And yea that taxi stand was useless! It served no purpose other than us walking up saying we need a taxi. That's it! How soon you got in a taxi determined how much God was smiling down on you at the time. Lol
That is one thing I did find disappointing with the port of Nassau. I am also so glad they fixed the port. I didn’t like getting off there by myself because I didn’t feel safe. But looking forward to seeing the updates
Yea it's a shame that we had to experience that. But yes the new port is absolutely beautiful. Love what they've done with the place. Hopefully the service can 1 day be as good as the port looks. Yes we understand, especially being a solo woman. Always have to keep your eyes peeled at all times.

6 cruise ships in port!! Nassau stays busy! We don't blame Dee for being upset with the transportation situation. Phil's new name is International Phil. He has connections everywhere! Thank you for your transparency with Nassau RIU. They need a full makeover. Guys spend more time in the restroom than at the pool. That's why they have an outlet next to each urinal, lol. I understand filling up your taxis, but please have a mote effective system, don't argue in front of guests, and please know how many people your taxi can hold. Lol
I was in Nassau this past December with my family and we experienced the same taxi situation. It took us over 45 minutes to get a taxi to or excursion and I was fuming 😡 I did notice that the Disney passengers got buses without any issues and we were on Royal. Since we booked through the cruise line we made a complaint and got some of our money back.
So we were there around the same time! But yea disney does secure buses for those with excursions. You get what you pay for I guess. Disney always provides immaculate service. But why were yall on a royal excursion and they didn't have vans dedicated to royal guests? Are you telling me yall had to find yalls own way to yalls excursion booked via the cruiseline? Or did yall have to wait on yalls dedicated shuttle for the excursion to show up?
Yeah packing out bus and making everyone wait is not nice. We found out in San Juan they are contracted to fill their buses. Our guy was pissed he had two open seats.
But miss counting and making us go back and then yall sit there and fight in our face and then make us wait?!?! I was about to call off the entire day and just go back to the ship at that point. Like yall playing with our time and I don't appreciate it. And contracted? Wow! Never heard that before.
Man!!!! And I felt bad for the guests who were staying there. They did not seem to be in high spirits when I talked to them. They all seemed to have regretted their decision to stay there. I told multiple of them that this is not your typical RIU experience. I tried to encourage them to give RIU another chance at other resorts. But I think a lot of them were scared of being burned again which is understandable.
Yes, it was either that or go back to the ship. But had we known that resort looked like that and we didn't already pay the rest of our money at the front desk, we probably should have. 🤣 you're welcome.

How was I supposed to know the taxi service wasn't that great and the resort had poop all over it? 🤣 I guess I should start reading reviews huh? The cab situation at ports always makes me angry. It’s like come on don’t make small groups wait to get bigger ones. Jeremy and I had this booked for February but we got a refund because Allure of the Seas couldn’t dock. They definitely need some major improvements!

Didn't want to end it on a bad note. It was also my birthday trip so we didn't want to ruin it. But if it weren't, this vlog may have turned out a lot different 🤣
Been there a couple times place is worn nothing to do in the evening food tastes like trash worst RIU of the chain place should be torn down and start over dirty dirty

Pro tip. Just walk out to the main road and grab a taxi like near starbucks. That whole new area they built is a racket.
