SayHelloTingky So do I, I can shoot of either shoulder using either eye.It's a neat trick for shooting round cover, such as a wall on your right side. Some weapons make this unpleasant because some eject hot casings that would hit your face if shooting from the left shoulder using the left eye, but a hot casing would be better than a bullet.When shooting round a wall to your right, if you use the left eye and shoulder, you expose much less of your head and body to return fire. Some weapons eject from the bottom, so there's no problem at all then.Most eject to the left, which means armies with them have to teach lefties to shoot from the right eye and shoulder.
How some people are in basketball I shoot with the left and dribble but dunk with my right
I had to learn to shoot both , my right eye was damaged in Afghanistan and i relearned it for left
Its still messed up today .....but one can learn i had to relearn it for survival in Iraq

The ch34 also known as the wessex in the uk flew up until about 2005. used to see them around belfast Iconic airframe,very distinctive.

It has a sped up tempo to reflect the intensity of the situation they are in (war). If I remember right.

On the DVD, you can tell that the guy at 1:38 is covered in bandages on his head and hands, maybe from burns? It's certainly possible that Kubrick was using him to suggest a "ghost on the battlefield".
