When you said “I get almost the same turn on factor” 😂😂😂😂😂😂that was golden!!
Great stuff! I too love to wear my jersey on the daily basis. I remember once for high school i wore a different jersey everyday for a month and it was great lol. Look forward to more of your vids!
I have Been hesitant to wash my jerseys. This video gave me the confidence to do so. Thanks
This was extremely helpful. Thank you! I just purchased a Dortmund 1995 jersey from eBay and it kind of smelled a bit so was curious the best way to wash. Love your channel!
Thanks for the nice words and very happy I could help! Great pickup btw!
Thank you for the laundry bag for delicates tip, most of my Villa tops are missing their sponsors because of my ignorance. We play the Hammers today so good luck for the game!
I had the same problem. Enjoy the game! I am not a Hammers fan per se, just had added a shirt of theirs to my collection shortly before shooting this video. 😉
May I ask which Premiership team you support? I am a Milan fan too but I love Inter more which I know is football sacrilege
@@thesunstate5803 I am going to ignore that "I love Inter more" thing. 😜🤣 As for the EPL, I truly do not have one team that I support. In the 90s I really liked Chelsea, but then Abramovich had to step in (still beating Bayern in their home stadium was a bit of redemption). At times I got sucked into Liverpool (early 00s and lately under Klopp), but then Istanbul happened. I enjoyed Arsenal in their glorious pomp and currently really want them to win. I should like Newcastle as they share colors with my hometown team, but Saudi Arabia ... 🙄 And then of course, I do want storied teams to do well (but isn't every team in England storied?). I guess the only constant is that I never liked United and currently City are boring me to tears. 😫
@@MySoccerUniverse Ha ha thank you for ignoring that, I loved Inter as a child but I'm crazy about the red and black of Milan and owned their top when Kaka was at the height of his powers. I can't believe the way Chelsea treated Abramovich - how they just turfed him out for being the wrong nationality. Now with their flavour of the week manager Potter they will probably have some karma coming their way. Anyone that dislikes Man Utd will always get my thumbs up and Man City is also Saudi money if I'm not mistaken, they truly are dull as ditchwater. Newcastle was always a team I enjoyed, Shearer was a monster and yes let's hope Arsenal takes it, anything to spite Man City and their sellout Jack Grealish.
great advice man, thank you for taking the time to make this helpful video. Have to ask you, what is your club/country? Seems like you enjoy them all 😆
Thanks a lot! I am happy you liked it. Regarding my favorite team? Well, I have two favorite club teams: My 1a team is LASK from my hometown Linz and my 1b team is Milan. I follow both of these with passion and my nightmare would be to see them play a competitive game against each other. As for national teams, it is all about Italy, Holland and Argentina (yes 2018 kinda sucked) and I am happy if my homecountry (Austria) is doing well. ;)
I have to hand wash it because I really have trust issues with my washer and dryer lmao
I know how you can fix your maldini jersey. I fixed mine. Just order knew maldini numbering and iron right over the old ones carefully. You can even buy the sponsor on the front to iron on. It will set and lay right over top.
Have you tried that? I thought about it a few times but was never sure if it comes out nicely ... But thanks for the hint, I may try it out on my Inter (Ronaldo) or France (Zidane) jerseys first. :)
@@MySoccerUniverse yes worked good. Just took a long time have to be super careful!!. Patience is the KEY. line it up perfectly use wax paper then a handkerchief over top then iron.
Did you ever find a fix for the maldini cracks?
I am afraid the only fix would be to have it completely replaced. And it is near impossible to find that name set now.
@@MySoccerUniverse thanks for your replies pal. I'll leave you alone now lol
@@harveyjamesdishingtonthomson no worries 😉
Brother Can u do manchester united kit for 22/23
Hi Bob, not sure what you mean? Can you be a bit more specific?
Put my havertz shirt in the dryer on accident at a bit of the number on the back came loose 😭
Sorry to hear that! There are videos on RUclips on how to remove all vestiges and I am sure you can get a replacment nameset. Checkout out FutPrint on Instagram - he may be your man!
Can I dry my shirts by letting the washing machine spin real quickly (I think its called centrifuge?) or will that have negative effects just like tumble dry?
You can try to do that, but honestly, I don't think it is good for any lettering you may have on it. But for a plain jersey, I would not have many reservations about it.
Can you wash more than one jersey together in the same machine
As long as you separate the darks and whites, you're good to go. Don't mix or else your light colored jerseys may be subjected to some color bleed from the darker colored jerseys.
From where do you mostly buy your shirts?
Hmm, long answer that probably wold warrant a video: My favorite store is Classic Football Shirts (www.classicfootballshirts.co.uk) a lot, but I have to say that they can be pricey at times - so I oder sparingly and mostly when they have a sale.
Most of the shirts I got in the last two years have been second hand from a local flea market page here in Austria (www.willhaben.at). It is amazing what you can find on these pages and people often sell for low prices just to get rid of stuff. But you also have to check very regularly.
Sometimes, Zalando and Nike are worth a try, especially towards the end of the season (true for most regular retailers). Rarely, I can find a steal on Amazon, but it happens). And I do the same at local stores, but they rarely sell for under EUR30.
But I also have to say, I barely have good experiences on eBay. You are very likely to get a counterfeit despite them proclaiming 100% authenticity (rule of thumb: avoid Turkish and Asian sellers even if they are selling from England, Germany etc.)
I know, long-winded answer, but that is the reality!
@@MySoccerUniverse Such a great and informative answer (especially the eBay part), I really needed some guide about buying shirts online
That Austrian page makes learning German worth it, so many great shirts!
Thank you a lot!

Will it hurt to soak it first??
No, It is actually not a bad idea to pre=treat stains with some soap and cold water or as you said soak it for a bit. In fact, this is how I found out that one of my jerseys was fake since it colored the water and would otherwise probably have ruined some other shirts!
@@MySoccerUniverse oh ok thanks!!
If I try hand wash it some stains and dirt don't go away however if I machine wash the name and number should be fine correct?
I would suggest you pre-treat the stains with some soap before putting them into the washer - although most stains will come out with a handwash. For tougher stains (grass and ink), I have a video on how to deal with them - you will find it in this playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLlU6Dr84B6PgjbHx5S83Sppbhk59222U4 As long as you keep the temperature low and have the jerseys in a net, the numbers should be fine, but I would not put the shirt in for a very long wash. I had one number disintegrate on me because I washed it fr 2h (video is also in the playlist).
@@MySoccerUniverse thank you so much I reckon machine wash for about 40 minutes.
@@tonychai714 Should be fine. These days, I go for a 15-20 minute cycle, but that is without stains. So, a 40 minute cycle sounds alright.
I accidentally used fabric softner what do I do??. Will it come out with another wash??
Never had that experience, but I guess it is worth a try!
Sounds like klopp lol
Well, there are worse comparisons, so thank you! 😂😂😂
Hi Ur buy jersey
They must be fake to do this. None of my authentic jerseys have ever did this and I have washed them on hot and put in dryer inside out on low. I just washed my Arsenal 2021 jersey on hot and dried it and it's fine. Print is fine on sponsor. I have kits dating back to the 80s all ok.
Well, it is down to how often do you wear and wash them and of course the temperature setting. Typical recommendations are to use a temperature of 40 and no heat dry. In all honesty given the material using a dryer is waste of electricity as they dry super fast anyway. As for lettering, again it is down to quantity of washing/drying. A few times it is fine - do it multiple times over the years and things tend to come off.
@@MySoccerUniverse agreed. I tend to not get numbering or names anymore because of that.
