- As an aspirant I used to think a lot about how to cover current affairs for UPSC properly. It is such a vast area to cover with so many magazines and newspaper that getting discouraged by the sheer volume is easy..
In addition, no one actually develops a technique to make it super easy to study for current affairs..It's not just about what you study but also how you study to retain longer and swift through a ton of material to have wide scope of knowledge about key topics...
That's what I trying to do in this video -- give you some techniques on how you can study for IAS current affairs portion more effectively.
The key lies in self-study. However much material you get from the coaching institutes or the market, without self study cracking UPSC won't be possible. So watch this video, comment below and let me know if you have more questions!

It's really good to categorise current affairs in parts and subparts. But someone who is in the first year of preparation, it would be extremely difficult to find time to do it. There are so many subjects that one has to absorb and it takes enormous amount of time. I will just follow the monthly compilation for this year, hoping that things work out as expected.
In case, I don't qualify this year, will surely follow this strategy for next attempt.

1. कुछ UPSC Toppers का कहना है कि हमें न्यूज़पेपर से नोट्स नहीं बनाना चाहिए क्योंकि इससे बहुत समय खराब होता है और हम नोट्स को Revise नहीं कर पायेंगे ।
2. क्या सर हम प्रतिदिन न्यूजपेपर की जगह कुछ करेंट अफेयर्स की वेबसाइट जैसे Drishti IAS से करेंट अफेयर्स को तैयार कर सकते हैं ?
3. करेंट अफेयर्स की वेबसाइट में प्रतिदिन इतनी न्यूज आती है और हर न्यूज़ सिलेब्स से ही जुड़ी हुई होती है । इस स्थिति में वास्तविक करेंट अफेयर्स का चयन किस प्रकार करें ?

Sir, I make notes from IASBABA daily C.A. and it is very time consuming (2 - 3hr)
Do I Rely on only Monthly magazine ?
Or is it necessary to make notes from website?
Preparing from past 3 month still have a doubt, that should I continue note making from Initernet source or rely on monthly magazine...
