The sound design for Antivenom is amazing. Because Anti-Venom himself is not sentient, it doesn't affect Peter the same way Venom has.
And that's why its perfict for him, and the sound of the surge is calm and collected
Whenever you hit someone with it and hear the Anti-Venom activation sound...

Anti-Venom sounds almost soothing and comforting, in a strange way. Kind of "angelic", as opposed to Venom's "demonic" whispers and growls. I really love the duality between the two Symbiote Suits, it goes to show that every coin has two sides, ever light has a shadow, and vice versa every shadow has a light casting it.

i kinda like peters black suit surge scream
really interesting the difference between the two. peter says in the story when he gets anti venom that the "voices" are gone. when u start symbiote surge with venom you can hear peter scream in anger / pain, wheras anti venom he just sounds like he exerts himself similar to when he punches or kicks normally. also with venoms symbiote surge start, u can sometimes hear a whisper saying "hide", with primal animalistic noises that sometimes sound like a voice and sometimes just a monster. compared to anti venom, theres no voices, instead it sounds like someones actually humming peacefully, which shows the peaceful state the anti venom is in compared to the primal aggressive venom.

I thought the humming Sound was simmular to the sound of a whale, so that was what i thought it was, like the Black suits sound of a unhinged predater roar, had been replaisht with a peacefull harmonic mammel, in the form of a whale. Just lookt it op, whales can in the bad end symbolish death and the afterlife, just like how Peter almost or deffintly died at the hands of Craven (it was really unclear, i guess it was op to interpretaision), and how he almost died when the simbiote minions put a new simbiote layer on him, that made him scream in pain, so i guess it could have killt him if he had endured it fore longer, but in the positive end, it can symbolish re-birth and resurrection, like how he woke op from Both the stap and new simbiote, as a different person than he was before.
It took until NG+ for me to notice one more interesting difference between the symbiote and anti-venom surge, and it's during combat.
When using black tendrils, every hit landed has an extra oomph and crunch to them. To add extra emphasis to the power the symbiote is giving Peter. Maybe as a form of temptation.
However, anti-venom tends to muffle or drown out the attacks. Even adding a whirr sound at times. Almost like Peter is suppressing his perception of how powerful he's become to keep a healthy mind.
Definitely the coolest feature of the new game in my opinion. I love how evil it sounds in Symbiote Surge and how almost calming it is in Anti Venom Surge. Definitely prefer the evil one because of the web of shadows vibes but I like both. Beautifully crafted video as always my friend, but I’m sure you knew that!

I love the way how when you active the venom surge it sounds like Peter is in pain kind of when activating it, but with the anti-venom surge it just sounds like another ability
The symbiote surge activation scream is brutal, my god.
It's like it intentionally bursts from inside his body, piercing his flesh to momentarily cause him an extreme amount of pain and make him more unhinged.
I wish insomniac played more on the horror experience that is FACING symbiote Spiderman instead of controlling him before making him take off the suit.
Imagine we had a mission where we played as a random thug having just witnessed symbiote Spiderman completely annihilate his gang; we run away, deciding to hide in some random building like a warehouse…
Music? Nah, it's just complete silence. The mission? Find your way out of there…before Spiderman finds you.
So just a better version of the MJ section with Symbiote Peter.
The regular Symbiote sounds Demonic, like a constant bellowing voice whispering in your ear. While the Anti-Venom Symbiote sounds more.. Mystical? Like it has some magical properties to it.

I love how different the activation sounds. It sounds so painful with the Symbiote

The creepy sound effects of the Venom surge and the whispers from Venom himself (ones where you don't even understand the words) really shows that Venom is an alive being with it's own mind, unlike Anti-Venom. Great duality.

For real, when Peter turns Symbiote Surge, his scream is violent.
I prefer the sound of the black suit. I never forgot the first time I used symbiote surge as soon as I heard the sound it made I knew I was ready to tear shit up.
That anti-venom contrast is amazing. If only the suit looked better
I wish that in symbiote surge with Anti Venom that his eyes would look like lava like the original anti venom in the comics and because of the fact anti venom destroys the symbiotes as like burning them to a crisp

Why do people hate on that suit so much. In comparison to the black suit it’s not as cool but as a suit it looks pretty cool
@@Themoo_atcows Sure, I agree, mostly. I'd rate it as "alright I guess" tier. pretty inspired design but mehhhhh. The problem is that its huge in the story and its rushed, bland, and fan-fictiony design is shoved down your throat for the rest of the game. The endgame suits are confidently what pulled the trigger to get spiderman 2 wiped at the game awards. The white symbiote looks like paper, marshmallow smore, foaming soap, oreo filling, milk, and white play-dough to me. By the end of the game, I like to call the spider-men by sergeant milkman and captain colgate because that might as well be what they became.
@@alphax101-gaming2 I don’t think the anti-venom m suit was THAT bad. It’s a little overly simple, true, BUT they could have over designed it too like they did with miles’ suit also if people hate miles’ suit so much THEN CHANGE THE COLORS!!!

Thank you for posting this! It definitely shows that Insomniac really did a good job designing Anti-Venom powers for Peter.
I love how the sound he makes when activating the antivenom surge is a lot more controlled and calm than the symbiote surge, which is like a really pained, angry scream.

I like to believe that the difference between anti venom and the black suit is that in addition to the white one being more powerful I can use it at will.

My favorite suit design is probably the normal or classic symbiote suit just because it looks cooler in my opinion,and I also like the way Peter sort of “screams” when using the symbiote surge,I don’t know why but it’s kinda satisfying for me

Venom Surge sound effects have whispers, foreshadowing the voices we heard when we fought kraven. And anti-venom isn’t sentient so theirs no whispers which is a really good detail.

I they used like a tiger or a lion growl for the Symbiote surge. It also matches with the concept that Kraven is hunting the symbiote like he's hunting the apex predator.

Just go to the settings, then gameplay, then scroll all the way down to “Tendril Colour”. Switching it to ‘Black’ gives you the demon surge and ‘white’ gives you the angelic surge
