How can one really amass wealth gains like Buffet without having to hold stocks for too long? Over the years, I've teetered in the brink of financial ruin due to an awful divorce and considering retirement in 4 years, I now look towards the stock market to fuel my comeback.

I didn't start out as a dividend investor, fortunately my 401K was in growth mostly and even though I had a modest salary for most of my life I just kept my mitts off of the retirement account. Now I rolled it into an IRA and bought dividend income stocks. I wasn't able to compound dividends over the course of decades, I just got here by market growth. Now I'm making $62K per year on $600K

A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I started networking with industry experts and came across a CFA with proper qualifications. Her system ensures my portfolio creates generational wealth in all markets. This month I just surpassed the ~$1m mark in total investments. Still can't believe it...

I’m trying to get an advisor for guidance but it’s harder than you think. Anyone who is fee-based is hard to find an usually have a heavy workload. Would you be comfortable sharing a recommendation if it’s not too much trouble

Why do so many dividend stocks get killed for share price? You would think dividend stocks would do a little better. Case in point: $3M.

Straight up, investing with the help of a financial advisor set me up for life with about $1.6m in stock portfolio roi. I max out my 401k and have few properties. I worked hard everyday as a teacher for 32 years, and my salary was over 100k annually. But if it wasn't for 2020 covid lockdown, I wouldn't have supplemented my income with stocks and alternative investments.

tama yan, enjoy your fruit din dapat. My dilemma is a bit different but it boils down to whether you deprive yourself or not. My main income is from freelancing and charge is by the hour. Years ago, i would deprive myself of vacation. Because vacation means expense and also no work, which means not only will I spend more, I will also receive lesser income. So no vacation. Good thing it is not too late, now, since dividend income snowballed already, I dont feel bad traveling while "losing" the income. Basta moral of the story is, do not deprive yourself, and if possible, work hard, earn hard, play harder.

I like your videos man. Keep it up and hoping you’ll inspire others. I believe in balance, people save and invest but do not enjoy their earnings and don’t want to live by the moment. They will wait till they are older with no energy and have health issues to enjoy life. I have observed and spoke to several senior people who are very stingy with their money during their youth but they told me they have a bit of regrets of not doing/buying the things they wanted to.

Exciting and Enjoyable to see it grow and ride the ups and down and master your emotions. Just my 2 cents.

Buy shares of different companies that pay on different months. If company 1 pays dividends on Jan-Apr-Jul-Oct, you buy shares for company 2 that pays Feb-May-Aug-Nov, and so on till you are covered for 12 months. This can help you be diversified as well. Please check out PSE Edge to the dividend payout date history of your desired company. Please research first before buying shares.
