Correct spelling is M.I.C.K.Y. Micky always told me he wasn't Mickey Mouse. Also vocals on "Woods On Fire" is yours truly.
Yeah, I did notice Tom. But I thought to myself, What would Micky say if I said to him, Shall I? He'd probably say... "Nah"! Ha ha. I also, noticed "Woods On Fire" too. He's a nice guy Geoff but like most people in their industry, they often get stuff wrong.
Agree Tom. I once went to see Micky with All the notes in Cardiff, the flyer said "All the notes, with Mickey Gee" He sat next to me and said, "F78ck it, I'm not a cartoon character, so we shall how many disney characters turn up" Ill never forget that, he looked at me smiled and winked. Loved that guy, still do.
Micky was the best saw him many times and drove him to some of his local gigs. Best memory was he sign his autograph Merry Christmas in June I asked him why ,with his smile said if you treat every day as Christmas life ain't bad.
Great work Geoff!
hi tom my father rangoon ray played with micky one of the true legends my father has passed on too in 2015 so i bet there rocking with the good lord godbless tom gee gary bevan
I was lucky enough to buy one of Micky’s guitars, it’s a JV squire telecaster ❤
That was my guitar originally Kevin. Micky and I went to Cardiff town centre and went to about 3 or 4 music shops and I bought it new. About two years later I sold it to Micky. He actually preferred it to his original telecaster.
@@tomgee001 that’s amazing, I always wanted a telecaster and this makes it even more special now, I was recording up with John David berry hill, I told him this guitar belonged to Micky, then he pulled out a recording that Dave Edmunds been doing up there and Micky was playing this guitar on it, sounded amazing.
