thanks cory for the time invested in this.it is very helpful. i have been having problems with the fit of my guides, and i am sure this will help me. i have been trying to use my cbct data from the stone models ,and imported as a scan appliance, because it was in dicom format and not stl. so,if this is an stl file, may export it,and then import it as stl model. To use this new formality of stich model to the panoramic view of cbct. Thanks again for your help

Thanks for pointing this out. Great little trick. One question...once you have done this and your model from the CBCT is optimized, how do you import it into the plan for implant placement. In other words, how do you get this new STL in the plan with the patient's CBCT? Seems Blue Sky Bio only allows you to export the STL for a price.

Nice presentation, as said before thanks for taking the time to figure this out and share it. I have the same CBCT model, how do you mount the casts to take the images and what settings?

Very interesting. A bit geeky for most but still a way to streamline, keep things in-office and reduce overhead and speed up efficiency once you go through the steps and calibrate your machine. Wonder if different 3D printers would matter? Would there be a best density for a specific printer? I'm just glad my CBCT has the capacity to scan a model :-)

      +Dylan Thompson No doubt geeky ; )
I have multiple printers and it hasn't mattered.......both fit well.

Still exciting development after all these years.

How do you import the file of the model into the blue sky software? I have a scan of a model, but it is a dicom file. I need to figure out to merge the patient's scan and their stone model in the software.

Great presentation. Thanks. If we could just find a software that would allow design of the surgical guide without a fee, that would be ideal.
