Evelyns Colors unfortunately I didn’t put anything on the back so now I’m trying to fix the splitting if I can
I am sorry my dear, if the feather it is ready, the dry paint don't let it fix, I hope there are not many painted feathers. Just you can try to stick it on the back of the finished feather, some piece of duct tape, and then fill it with some putty for art the split parts, let to dry and paint it again. Otherwise, the future ones put tape behind. I hope that help to you, and sorry for my bat English. Blessing.
what do you mean, that the hairs of the bird feather were separated?
If the feather hairs are splits, then put masking tape on the back of the feather
