@@Towmatodowg Oh, pulling the " ol' Zukerman" then? Haha. I know Pinky loved his Strad but he could apparently only afford the Guarneri. He claims that he simply loves to "dig into the string" so that's why he went for a Del Gesu. I'm a little suspicious. I have lost a bit of respect for Pinky (and yes, I'll continue to call him by a nickname) because he was absolutely disgusting and racist a few times in the past 5 or so years. Apologies if that upsets you (unless you know of what happened already). That aside, did Mr Miura really switch to a Guarneri after the Strad just to follow his mentor??? Of course, there's the money side of things as well...
@@liamnevilleviolist1809 He posted himself getting the 1732 Kaston Guarneri on twitter last year august 22nd. I don't know the real reason why he switched to a guarneri but I'm assuming it's either the foundation took it back or he simply just likes guarneri more. I don't think Mr. Miura is the kind of person who would switch his baby violin just to follow his mentor since the 1704 strad is a good pair with him.

It's just not as famous. The competitors are top tier though.
