Fossil Excavators is a non-profit organization that is devoted to cross-disciplinary research collaborations and opportunities with a focus on Paleontology, Paleoecology, Paleobiology, Paleobotany, Paleopalynology, Molecular Paleontology, and even Archaeology.
Our focus isn’t just the discovery, preservation, collection, preparation, and curation of fossils; but includes hands-on education about fossils, the environment, and conservation issues.
If we can help one student get the experience that academia failed to provide them, then we view that as a success story. If we can help one disabled or elderly person to help fulfill their dream of fossil hunting, then we view that as a successful venture. If we can put a smile on a child’s face as they shovel or pick their way to what may or may not be a fossil, then we view that as a good day’s work.
