This is the story of the richest city in Africa. Much more advanced than European cities from several points of view: electricity, air conditioning, transport, communication, etc. But why such a city in the middle of nowhere?
Diamonds. This is the sole purpose of Kolmanskope. Precious stones that were found in abundance. They were everywhere and on the ground. All you had to do was bend down.
But of course, as soon as they were all collected, the golden age abruptly ended and the city was abandoned. Leaving behind magnificent opulent houses, a casino, stores and even a hospital.
All of them are gradually being invaded by sand, which gives a unique atmosphere to this ghost town.
