    I used a pair of X-T1 cameras for weddings and portraits. When the X-T3 came out, I upgraded because of the better autofocus. However, at high ISO, the X-T1 is still, in my opinion cleaner, thanks to the larger pixels. It also produces, in my opinion, nicer SOOC jpegs.

    My Fuji X-T1 is a gem. I know that in APS-C there is no other manufacturer that makes better lenses. I use mine for landscapes and animals in the wild. I really like the way Fuji addresses the main controls by putting them on the camera body and not buried in some menu. I agree that less pixels mean less noise.

    I find the X-T1 the most perfect of the Fuji mirrorless designs ergonomically for me. With or without its battery grip or its tripod plate its lovely to hold. All the buttons (with the exception of the preview one) are in the right place. All the dials match my film cameras perfectly. The focus assist falls under my thumb just so. The only criticism I have apart from the preview button position is the easy to move drive mode, but its not a big deal. As others have mentioned, the SOOC images I find preferable to the later models (well the colour ones at least). I paid £250 for mine 2 years ago complete with battery grip as an experiment, already having owned a XPro1 and X-E2s. I loved it so much I got another this year. I have other Fuji models the X-H1 and X-E3, but much as I like them, I still tend to grab one of the X-T1s before any of the others.

    pixel peep (like i'm guilty to do).
    When you will downsize your picture the noise produced by a high mega pixel camera will be diminished too.

      @@matthewstorerphotography A myth. If i'd resize my 42mp A7RII raw to 12mp the resulting picture would be better than a 12mp picture from a 12MP camera.

      @@matthewstorerphotography Definitely read up about some of it's key features, if Astro is your thing then it's a very compact wicked system due to the fact it has a unique inbuilt Astrotracer feature. I'll list off some of the unique properties of the camera;
      - Pentax is known for rugged and hard weather sealed/resistant cameras. I'm not joking when I say they can be the preferred choice for desert and arctic shooters, because despite those harsh conditions the Pentax brand still continues to shoot regardless. Now I'm not saying Pentax is a fantastic brand/camera, they definitely have some problems such as AF etc, but in the genre of Astro the systems weakness (AF) doesn't really matter.
      - K-1 has a unique tilting screen which is very hand for landscape and astro work.
      - The K-1 has a dedicated button that when pushed illuminates little LED lights to help you see the buttons and operate them in the dark. LED's light up at places like the lens mount area, buttons, flip screen etc, it all helps enormously when configuring the camera in the dark.
      - The K-1 has a 'night mode' which makes the screen red, thus assisting with working in the dark and not messing up your own vision.
      - Pentax may have been the first to develop and implement IBIS into their cameras, from that piece of tech their innovation didn't stop there. Two unique features came from IBIS, Astrotracing and Pixelshift. As other brands developed IBIS pixelshift came along as well, but really they have Pentax to thank for that party trick ;) But I don't think another brand has used IBIS yet to develop Astrotracer.
      How Astrotracer works; You turn the gps on, calibrate/sync the camera with it, jump into Bulb mode and away you go. The camera is tripodded and now the sensor moves inside the camera via the IBIS system with the GPS to track the stars and keep them as pinpoints instead of getting blurred/trails. This then lets you take MUCH longer exposures. If you do what everyone else does and stack a heap of images, even better, but honestly some users just feel content with the 1 take. I can go for 2-4mins vs other brands that need to cut the exposure short at 40secs etc. The differences are (as you can imagine) pretty significant!
      Of course tho... the landscape will be blurred during that exposure (as the sensor moves), so if shooting stars+land you will always need to do two takes and one with astrotracing on, the other without, blend in PS etc.
      Really, Pentax's biggest problem is marketing, they seem to lack it here in the West at least (I believe Pentax as a brand does much better in Japan, their primary market of concern). I've been in a few Astro groups, hardly anyone knows anything about Pentax or K-1, really a shame as it's really this particular genre it shines at.
      I'm no brand loyalist, I have a XT-4 as well, but it stays at home if I want to do serious landscape (pixelshift) or astro work (astrotracer). I'll keep using my K-1 till it dies, it's been my first love.

      This has been on my mind (again) soooooooooooooo much lately. One of my best friends is having the same thought. Astrotracer is pretty amazing, and I really love the Pentax bodies over the years, extremely comfortable tanks.

    ... Settle down dood! Do you have to be soo over dramatic like an "American" clone!!!... Appreciate your photographic knowledge but your presentation is like "nails on a blackboard".... Settle down... And stop being over dramatic... Less is more as they say..... And you might get a few more clicks.....
