    Hey, thanks for the tutorial. I have a challenge ALL the time when I try to model a scene. I often want to do a full through-the-house animation and I then end up having to model everything in the whole (BIG) house. It makes the scene very geometry heavy and it also makes renders take FOREVER in just a single still shot. What strategies should I be using to achieve this? How can I be smart while still creating a fully furnished house for an animation? Thanks!

      Hi Andrew ! good question , there are several approaches I can recommend when dealing with heavy scenes for animation and stills:
      1. split each area/room into separate 3d file if possible.
      2. convert heavy objects to proxy( good for view port performance)
      3. make sure your PC have enough RAM to render the scene - while rendering , take a look at your RAM Usage , if its getting near the 85%-90% than you need to reduce poly count in your file and maybe disable displacement in materials.
      3. Buy more RAM :) go for at least 64 GB of RAM.
      4. make sure you don't have materials with perfect white color in the defuse (255,255,255) that can create noise (specially in corona render)
      5. try not to use too many lights in your scene.
      6. don't use very large and heavy texture maps in your materials.
      By the way what software do you use for modeling+rendering?

      Arch Viz Champ Thanks so much for the reply! Those are really useful tips and I’ll definitely try them! I use Vray 3.6 and 3ds Max.
      On point 1, does splitting them into different scenes in one file help?
