She has said she always loved opera, and after learning to 'belt' she wanted to incorporate that 'style' in her singing. This was the first songwriting credits for Midori with the band. This has a lower Beats Per Minute then usual with a Lovebites song, it's closer to Hard Rock! 🤟
Good catch. Someone else mentioned she had a Opera background in another video. I'm purposely not reading up on them as to not spoil the reactions and learn from the fans. She could sing Opera with that voice though. :)
As you suspect, you will not hear a bad song. As you delve further into Lovebites, you will be amazed at the way they weave different metal genres into their songs. Dancing W ith The Devil does not get picked out often for reactions. Asami, lead vocal, demonstrates how she prowls the stage particularly well in this performance. When she looks into the crowd, sometimes even without saying a word, the crowd is compelled to follow her actions.
Not being able to understand Asami's lyrics clearly the first time around actually enhances the appreciation of her vocals because you (I) hear it as another instrument that blends in flawlessly with the band. I can pick out how she manipulates her pitch more, than if I was concentrating on her lyrics. She's an incredible vocalist.
