- What soap have you been using? Lux, Cinthol, Dove or Pears?
Most of the soaps that are available in the market have so many toxic chemicals that a common man is unaware of.
From strong detergent ingredients to harmful alcohols to petroleum products to pesticides, soaps have it all. Soaps are something which we use on a daily basis.
And when we use a soap which has many harmful chemicals. over a period of time they seep into the bloodstream through the pores in our body and damage us from within. The worst part is that we don’t even know that we are unintentionally harming our body on a daily basis.
Let me tell you that it is unfortunate that the soaps which we have been using since childhood have the maximum number of toxic chemicals.I was so shocked during the research of this video that I too had to change the bathing soap I had been using all my life.
HARMFUL CHEMICALS FOUND IN SOAPS
1. Propylene Glycol
2. PEG - n, where n is a number. Higher the n, worse the soap is.
3. Tetrasodium EDTA
4. BHT
5. Methylchlorosiothiazolinone
6. Amodimethionene
7. Trideceth - 10
8. Tetrabutyl Ammonium Bromide
9. Cosmetic Colors
10. Fragrances
I have thoroughly gone through each and every ingredient in almost all the soaps that are available in in Indian market. I have picked up around 20 most commonly used soaps in Indian homes.
I have categorized these soaps in 5 categories on the basis of number of toxic chemicals in them.
01:58 - CATEGORY 1 has 8-10 toxic chemicals.
02:21 - CATEGORY 2 has 5-6 toxic chemicals.
02:38 - CATEGORY 3 has 2-3 toxic chemicals.
02:52 - CATEGORY 4 soaps have not mentioned the complete ingredient information.
03:25 - CATEGORY 5 soaps have almost no harmful ingredients.

Chandrika is my favourite. It is quite possibly the best soap in the entire world. It's natural fragrance smells like it should cost a thousand times the actual price. There are many other fine Indian made soaps to be sure, but Chandrika is one of a kind. Cheers Vivek for such an informative vid.

Best is to use besan (gram flour) and turmeric powder mix. You can also add sandalwood, multani mitti or mulethi. Cheap and skin friendly!

My cousin used this soap and getting influenced by her and the golden look of the soap, I insisted my mother to buy me one. While she never allowed me to use creams on my face,she had to buy me one with a warning that youll be responsible if it harms your skin because I was just 12-13 yrs young, obviously with good sensitive skin. That was the worst thing I did with myself ,my skin got little blackish and so much oily over just 1-2 months of use. Then I went to our parlour aunty,she gave another soap and cream,I was again at doubt whether that woukd worsen it or give me back my normal skin but it didnt work. Then I started using Lacto Calamine which my sister was using on doctor's recommendation,so 3-4 motnhs afterwards again back to normal skin. When Istopped using it,back to oily face,started with multani mitti and it recovered my original skin(happy). But since 2-3 months my skin has dry spots all over,so //i realised its high time to change the soap. So,switched to dove over godrej no 1 and also warm water bath was the major reason for it. Its so important to scrub,apply masks,massage,moisturise our skin to remain in good condition...... So,I really think twice or thrice before buying anything, I may regret afterwards. I just hate PEARS since then..

Excellent bro. I truly appreciated your story as I was just looking at the ingredients of the Dove sensitive skin box I generally always use. Not many folks or my friends really concern themselves with soap. Being a 53 year old hombre I’ve used plenty of soaps. Dove had the best balance I thought because the non cosmetic soaps dried me out even as a kid where we always used Ivory. Dove is Unilever, British I think and big so I never thought of them as being “organic” so to say but I would use the Dove as my total body clean minus hair. I’m gonna check out the last brand u mentioned don’t know if available here us. Anyway sorry for the ramble by the way your English is top notch take care
pears is most recomended by doctors ,now i do not know whom to trust, better to bath with raw milk , turmeric and gram flour

Your final advice is always helpful, even though, according to my humble opinion, there si something missing out there: it's the further step that will bring your videos to another level...if you wish and if you have the time and the proper knowledge, it would be much better if you could suggest some HOMEMADE solutions in order to have the best soap, toothpaste, shampoo etc. ever...yes, the HOMEMADE ONES!!!

We can get to know the quality of soap by reading the grade which is present at the sides of the soap
Mysore sandal soap has Grade 1 and others all fall in grade 3
But problem in india is that people tend to buy things which are cheaper and do not worry about the ingredients

Hi I am Akash Mehra, skin specialist at Jamunai Pai Skin clinic, just want to add to your research that you are just concerned about the chemical used in the soaps and divided them into categories, but we as human beings do produce chemicals that comes in form of mucus and other waste out of our body..keeping that in mind there are good soap brands that adds chemicals to their products that only can clean the wastes secretes by our skin daily...biologically a chemical can only be used cleanse the skin . As a learned professional I would suggest you to be concerned about these chemical impact on skin..rather than the contents in the soap...as a peace of advice..as even public should be aware of the real facts as why these chemical are added. Do make a video on utensils cleaner as well that we use everyday in kitchen...hope you got the idea what I am trying to say.

You tell that chemicals are added in soaps to clean the chemicals produced by our body or to cleanse the skin but in olden days people didn't bath with any soaps made with chemicals. They used natural ingredients for bathing and their skin was healthy and they didn't suffer from any skin disease.

@@Abhi-wh3ik l am not a historian or a traveller. I have seen my mother's grandma who has wrinkles on her face as she is aged but she had no skin problems. She used only natural products not any chemical filled soaps for bathing.
I use Vim, it is very good as it is made from 99% lemon... And now my body has transformed into a dog! I highly recommend you to use it.

I had been using dove for my face as a face wash every morning I know it's a bit harmful but not as harmful as himaliya purifying neem face wash and no I'm not planning to stop using it becuz it has been treating me well... Although thnx for the advice buddy it was highly useful to know this....

I use khadi soaps, it has lovely fragrance. Confused now whether it is harmful. But will definitely try patanjali multhani mitti soap.
