    1 biggest mistake that pro's make: grinding so much that they stop having fun

    • @ladislasayano9406
      @ladislasayano9406 2 месяца назад +13

      Agree here. I play casually only try to grind when my favorite Pokemon are available that week so I am still ok

    • @Halibel764
      @Halibel764 2 месяца назад +8

      I think it is true but it is only a point of view. For us, grinding is to complete a personnal objective like powering up Pokemons or hitting a certain level. For them, it's just the continuity of what they did : it feels right to play and they somehow have phobia to lose their playing habit. The balance between fun and grind is just seen differently by them.
      I guess that the very big advantage of PoGo is that it makes you meet other players IRL while playing so at least they stay connected to the community.

    Nah. It’s noob-ish to not take advantage of the free cooldown for mega evolving. Save your energy for a time like an extended raid day where you need it up for longer than the 8 hours. It’s a worthwhile trade of your time, for more energy when you need it.

    • @isaacfuqua7434

      Another thing with this:
      If you’re only working on one mega you can make it your buddy to get more mega energy after you’ve evolved it once. That way you can get the best mega stats while also keeping mega energy for raid days

    • @21nGG

      Nah. Noobs don’t have 9000 energy and have to rely on the free energy cooldown/walk their buddies. The candy XL is worth it. Max out your megas, everyone. If you’re hurting on mega energy, isn’t that just proof you haven’t played the game long enough? Mega raids are free, twice a day.

Plus, I don't have people to do the mega raids with and have 0 energy for certain ones. I don't exactly need enough xl candy for every pokemon in the game. • @ladislasayano9406

      Hmmm but you do get one free pass each day... For most mega you just need to do 3 or 4 raids to get the enough to megs evolve one Pokemon. Then you just walk with that Pokemon and you will earn mega energy at the same time as candies. since the mega raid rotation once a week so you will have enough time to do the 3-4 raids without having to buy raid passes

      I’m mostly f2p as well. Once you start mega evolving the energy needed is low and can be supplemented by walking the Pokémon. I recently started prioritizing mega raids for this reason. Except rayquaza, they all gave me enough energy for evolving, in some cases multiple of the same mega (some need less than others too). I’m still not able to evolve everything every day and need energy for mons that need to come back to raids but it’s doable. I don't play enough to justify doing Mega evolution. I simply don't do raids. I just don't. I don't have any friends to play with or call upon. So I have no way of getting more mega energy back. And ultimately that is the problem this game has. You can't experience all of this game without friends to play with. All the good stuff is tied to raids or pay wall.
    You mentioned that Shiny pokemon have no meta relevance. I need to clarify on that, are you referring to ALL shiny pokemon, or just the ones that aren't worth it? You said Pigeot is #8 in Ultra League. I assume the shiny version is still #8 in Ultra League right? At any rate, my goal is a living shiny dex. Though the raid problem I mentioned above means completing this goal is unlikely.
    Yeah, I do NOT support cheating and spoofing, but for what it's worth, as this is a video game first, I don't think it's a good customer service approach to have ticketed events that can only be played in certain locations. Sorry, but not many of us have the time or money to hop on a plane and fly across the world for this game. So to that end, I don't hate it. But yeah it's awkward.
    As for my noob mistakes.... Oh boy. Uh, using stardust all willy nilly early on. Randomly powering things up for the sake of it and not learning what pokemon are worth powering up.
    I know I'm still making noob mistakes to this day, but I think it's to a lesser degree at least.

  • @vitezoman5
    @vitezoman5 14 дней назад

    One thing spoofing is good is when doing trades with someone. The trading feature is a good way to trade stuff with people from your community, but this becomes SIGNIFICANTLY more difficult in places where either 1) you don't see people playing or 2) theres not much of a community for that. I have a bunch of friends in my friends list who I got lucky friend on it, but it's more difficult to coodonate trading with them, which will come to the expense of wasting money just for a stupid lucky trade. I know spoofing is bad and such, but the person using it is not using to grind and more to trade with him, but Niantic doesn't understand that it's also risky ESPECIALLY when you don't know the person you are about to trade. One quick fix they could do is allow for the first trade of the day to have no distance limit with any friend of your choise, and afterwards the following trades wil remain the same, aka be in the vicinity of the person to trade.

  • @TylerPerry827
    @TylerPerry827 2 месяца назад

    During Covid, and before Niantic implemented all their changes-I was a spoofer. I couldn’t really go anywhere or do anything, and I had just moved for grad school so I didn’t have any friends to play with. I was all alone. So spoofing gave me a chance to do something and make trades with friends back home.
    I won’t say it was good, and I’ve stopped. But man it was such a different way to experience the game. I wish everyone could have tried it for a day

And there was nothing more that I loved than taking someone's account, flying to an event overseas and bringing them back some really cool regionals and/or shinies. I quit playing shortly after covid and started back up again this Feb 2024. I spoofed again for a bit till I received my second strike and haven't risked it since. The remote raids have made it a bit more playable "normally" but it still gets VERY boring and monotonous (and shadow raids not remoteable SUCKS BIG TIME) when there's not much going on mid-event or if/when the way more than normal times shiny rates are absolutely terrible even when they're supposed to be "boosted".
