I e lived with Emmaus Brighton and hove 50 companions) Leeds (20) and Emmaus South Wales (12), my time at Brighton and Leeds, cliques wasn’t a problem. Bridgend when I first arrived was pretty bad, you get one companion who thinks he’s daddy of the wing and cliques arise because siding with bully gets them an easier life.
If the community is run well, staff can take them down a peg or end their licence.
We’re all in the same boat, and should be supporting each other.
Come October this year, Welsh hostels, communities who live under licence can only offer 6 month long licences then have to offer tenancies. It’s expected England will follow suit.

@locouk It's a nightmare for introverts, or if you have difficulty asserting yourself. Most addicts are quite nasty and bullying. Mainly these are the people you'll find in an Emmaus hostel.
