Now that this problem has been fixed I decided to get one. It’s now my favorite pistol. You have to try to miss with these things. Absolute nail driver for me.
Very true I just found out on mine, the firing pin remained stuck in a forward and that kept reoccurring during dry fire. And the gun wouldn't chamber rounds. I just searched and found my old snap caps so I'll dry fire again with them in the next days and weeks see if happens again. But I'll also change the firing and springs in the end.
It's not really an acceptable design for a full-size centerfire pistol to fail from a bit of dry-firing. This was not a problem on CZs previous-gen designs. Especially considering it fails invisibly to a non-functional state.
Put a small rubber o-ring between the hammer and slide around the firing pin while dry firing. This keeps the hammer from striking the firing pin. Remember to remove it when done. Problem solved.
This is the reason why CZ Hammer Fired pistols are not used by any large U.S. Law Enforcement Agencies. Cajun Gun Works makes a much more robust Firing Pin Retaining Pin, but I would still recommend using a snap cap or an O Ring if you Dry Fire one of these CZ Hammer Fired pistols!
Sorry Field Marshal, this will not solve the problem! Even a better roll pin will fail if it is constantly hit by the back of the firing pin. The owner of Cajun Gun Works told me himself!!!!!
@@davecostruirlo8194 A Glock does not have a firing pin retainer pin. The problem with the CZ-P07 is that when it is dry fired without a snap cap, or a rubber o-ring at the back of the firing pin to prevent the hammer from striking the firing pin, the firing pin will impact the firing pin retainer pin. Done enough times this will eventually result in a firing pin retainer pin resembling the one you showed. I love my Glocks and my CZ-P07. I dry fire my Glocks with no concerns, but I always have a rubber o-ring at the back of the firing pin when dry firing my CZ-P07.
@@jamescarter4175 Dry firing a firearm is a really good way to have an accidental negligent discharge with a live round. I don't have the need to dry fire, I just go to the range and shoot real ammo.
I paid 5.00 from Cajun gun works, the shipping cost more. MCARBO makes a nice trigger kit for 29.95 with a roll pin that has 1800 lbs of sheer strength.
But the problem is not with the firing pin. I had this problem and changed the FP block's retaining pin for one from CZC, but did nothing to the FP because it was not damaged.
Yea…. Dont think i’ll EVER own a fire arm knowing full well that it is going to fail with regular everyday use. One should be able to dry fore the living HELL out of their gun with no issues. No thanks Cz.

CZ has since address the firing pin retaining roll pin, they made it harder. Check mines regularly and have seen no abnormal wear.
P07 is one of my favorite firearms because of the light recoil impulse. Thanks a lot for this info, I’ll be sure to check it out.
That is caused by multiple dry firing with no snap cap. The notch in firing pin slams against retainer. CZ says to use snap caps while dry firing.

Do not dry fire unless you are using snap caps. That goes for any hammer fired pistol, not just the CZ.
Not true Beretta 92's and Sig Sauer P226,228,229,220's are dry fire safe!
@@TheGV50 Yes you’re right. I was focused on my preB CZ 75 and guns of that era. Most modern centerfire guns are safe to dry fire 👍
Wait, did you say $125 for a roll pin? should be about $5.
It’s in South Africa 🇿🇦 so it’s Rands not Dollars

I believe there are after market pins that are solid and eliminate this problem.

Dry firing is a no no, if you're going to pull the trigger put a round behind it.
Its caused by excessive dry firing.
Regardless, I have shot over 16000 rounds and dry fired my Glock and never had a problem.

What the update??
Did you take it too “Cajun Gunworks”??
Thanks for the comment.
My firing pin is stuck I can’t get it out what should I do

$125.00???? It's a 3 dollar part at the most that takes about 2 minutes to inspect/replace.
