- Hey guys! In this video, I'm going to show you a magical trick/algorithm for Rubik's Cube F2L. This is my favorite trick, and I use it whenever I can. It's not a complicated trick, and I'm not sure I would call it advanced F2L, but regardless, its definitely worth learning!!
Another cool thing about this alg is that you can replace the Rw U Rw' with Rw U' Rw' and it still works, which means this is really easy to use in OH. That might even be where this trick has the most utility, because of how important EO is for OH.
And yes, there are other solutions for this, like R U' R2 F R F' U2 R' F R F', but I think the way I showed in the video is the best one.

Here is a comparison of the algorithm shown in the video vs the standard 3 move insertion:
9 moves + 7.25 for OCLL = 16.25
3 moves + 11.25 for dot OLL = 14.25
Clearly the algorithm shown in this video adds 2 moves on average, and the only benefit of doing this is that you are finishing eo which means there is potential to use COLL or ZBLL. That being said, it is pretty difficult to justify using this algorithm so I don't recommend using it.

The U between the two wide moves can also go the other way, since the alg is symmetrical in this regard.

Very cool trick, will definitely start implementing this into my solves. I currently use a small LS method that I made up to solve edges, but this case always messed that up... I'll add this to the list and see how it works in speedsolves

Idk what I am doing wrong, when I use this alg it dose not orientate all edges, just two of them. But it inserts the pair and gives me a easer case for oll then dot so, thanks.

Also flows quite nicely.
You can certainly tell you solve quite a bit based on the condition of your stickers. My stickers really need to be replaced (the originals when I put it together ;P ). Thanks for sharing the endless knowledge that is puzzle solving. :)

Does it work if your cube is scrambled differently I tried 17 times and it did not work
It only works if none of the edges are oriented. If there are no edges oriented, and you have the RUR' case, it should work.

Is there an alg for a normal insert to get all the edges? Because i now use this alg all the time and i get oll skips soo often and having such an alg for every solve would be awesome
