  • Al-Widhat was one of four refugee in Jordan. This camp was set up to accommodate Palestine refugees who left Mandatory Palestine following the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. After the Black September conflicts which lasted from 1970 to 1971, The Jordanian government set out to improve living conditions in Al-Widhat. This place is now a very important part of the economy of Amman. Explore it with me....

well at least they don't starve why don't they clean the streets instead of just let the fruits laying on the ground, so a refugee camp with nothing but fruits and veggies really nice oh yeah, and nuts

Aditiya, there's a way you can make gas to cook on from vegetable scraps and waste products if you make a methane digester. There are lots of videos on RUclips about how to make a methane digester. During the cold season you can also use this system to heat your home and provide hot water! It's an amazing way of doing things and very good for the environment. Your idea sounds excellent too.

Palestinians and Jordanians share the exact same DNA profile. This isn't a refugee camp. It's Jordanians living in Jordan.

Why don't the men want the females to be filmed? What if a woman wants to be filmed? It's a shame Adnan's mum didn't have the choice whether she wished to be filmed as she is very talented at needlework. I understand politically not wanting to be filmed because of the prisoners etc, but because of her gender, I find very overprotective. In Palestine, I don't see this as there are lots of videos of women talking to the camera in the West Bank...
Edit: in fact, I watched a documentary about female entrepreneurs in the West Bank...
Or is this Jordanian culture, rather than Palestinian culture? If I were female I wouldn't cope well with that!

      my friend ,
We did not photograph women for personal motives.
First: In order not to cause any problems, there are people who do not prefer to appear in front of the camera while we are in a popular neighborhood. There may be fistfights, and I will not be satisfied when someone causes any harm.
Second: Umm Adnan asked us not to appear in front of the camera. She has her freedom, and she welcomed us into her home with open arms
Third: This is the culture of my country and what we have been raised on
