I think it would've been too risky personally. There's definitely an argument for it, between ET's shadowblade and Nyx in general, especially with ET dunking so frequently as BSJ pointed out. But it's also a whopping 900 gold in a game where you're down by quite a bit, and BSJ wasn't playing in a way that allowed for good scouting or invis prevention. I play Bristle a lot, can't sustain the soul ring anymore due the nerf in ring of health and removal of hood (which has ring). Ring of basillus works best for me, just a side note.
I really don't like the charge at 30:05. If your team is trading, you should save it for a guaranteed tp cancel on their cores right? I think you could've gotten top barracks and/or more pickoffs than just nyx.
Supports can have a winning average in lower mmrs (assuming you actually are more skilled than your opponents). That being said, doing it as a core is MUCH easier.
I think Spirit Breaker in particular can often be a "feast or famine" hero because of his design. He has the ability to make it to most any situation happening on the map, regardless of how far away, but his opponents dictate where he can go. But unlike a Storm or Nature's Prophet, It's harder to discern when you'll make it there, and as such, how much the situation will be different by then. You have a tiny window to decide if it's worth charging, and then to decide between committing to the fight, or putting your charge on a cooldown and forfeiting your ability to help for the next 17 seconds or so. As a result, I think people are extremely likely to take fights they aren't supposed to. The stereotypical pub sb charges and initiates fights he shouldn't, but even in a higher mmr game like this one, sb can charge to help an ally and end up just feeding anyway, which most supports are less likely to do simply because they wouldn't be able to make it there on time to begin with. Watching your ally struggle as they bring an opponents health very low, is very hard to ignore when you have your charge available, but by the time you make it to the fight, more enemies may have shown up already turned the tide Another problem is, unlike most other "global presence" heros, SB's kit is a bit lackluster once he makes it to the fight. His initial charge is his best spell, which is on cooldown once he makes it there. Compare it to a storm, natures prophet or a farmed spectre. Changes to his "W" helps, but not enough on it's own. Therefore, I always believed his kit worked better as a core, so that ONCE he makes it to the fight, he can itemize to tank, use attack speed to bash or deal damage. Otherwise, he has to only take fights where a +1 is all it takes to win, or play assassin style, both of which are very situational and unlikely against opponents with good awareness. With the buff to his str gain, I think this can be viable.
In regards to SB being relevant once he makes it to the fight, I think he can still be relevant. Assuming that both Q & E are maxed (which they often will be by 12-15 minutes), you've got a guaranteed 3.6 second stun on any target you want. Obviously this lockdown isn't as strong as someone like Shadow Shaman or Lion (very few things are), but it's significant disable if you have someone nearby that can take advantage of it. While other heroes in a 4/5 position would contribute more than Spirit Breaker once in the fight (often having more damage or a more impactful right click augmentation), Spirit Breaker is in the fairly unique situation of being able to be in so many fights so easily. You can count on one hand the heroes that have the global map presence that Spirit Breaker has.
I've never Lost to a smurf because he was good. It's the trash teammates that keep feeding him that make him win. I don't know what's so hard about never dying. I only die 3 times on average if I lose and once or twice max when I win, even against smurfs (before they push high ground to end). The reason for me losing is always braindead teammates, not smurfs. (Herald II currently). Can anybody help?
Do you think some cooldown reduction on the pos5 saves this game? Why? Oct core is popular on offlane or mid spirit breaker that buys a vanguard for lane, then disassembles into Oct core, just like every other offlaner is doing until vanguard gets patched.
I didnt understand what you could've done better other than trying to help them when they're feeding, push more lanes ? or try to force objectives ? u did them both so what you could've done better to actually win such games ?
In your organized smurf games probably hard. In a pub? LMAO I've seen Immortals on losing streaks in Legend, like your account gets flagged and you get the biggest animals that are on the way to Herald
duuh immortal pos 1 and 2 obv man they farm in a way u cant imagian lmao while the archon might have maximum 200 cs in 30m immortal would have 400 cs and finished farming already xD
As a support watching your cores die for being out of position and then them somehow blaming you even though you warned them is so par for the course. One time I watched as enemy dewarded triangle as 5 and watched my 20 min afk farm Dusa walk into it seconds after it happened. Carry players don’t have brains. Also after he died he pinged we need vision.
on the off chance BSJ reads this, could you explain why you didn't go aghs? In my head it would've been an absolute game changer / you had plenty gold to go for it after the team wipe. I couldn't help but feel like aghs would've won you most of the late game fights
Not BSJ, but it would've been a huge waste. Aghs in general is a really bad item for pure stats, so you really need the effect to be justified when you buy it (or you can afford to buy it when ahead). In this case, it wouldn't have done anything really. The enemy didn't have BKBs so the whole reason you'd buy it doesn't matter here. Going from 11 to 7 seconds charge is nice, but he was already struggling to live in a fight past the initial charge anyway (only two fights resulted in this happening). Then there's the problem he pointed out where the enemy got off several good fights and were dunking on his team pretty well. He needed to go for more damage related items and go more splitpushy, force responses, that kind of thing. Even later on, he said he went for too many team oriented items, and Agh's is 100% something you buy for your team in this position when you're dealing with debuff immunity.
No, BSJ just grief with his item build. He’s trying to fully commit on adapting and playing with his teamates to try to show how to be a team player, which did the opposite , the right thing to do was just to build a close to normal item build which is something with aghs and they would easily win this.
@@Rasea611 You don't buy aghs for bkb pierced, it's for the cooldown, 5 sec cd with octarine is pretty op. I'm spamming bara and never lost with it, try it, it's op no matter what position.
Kind says a lot about this deathball clown fiesta patch when even immortal smurfs can struggle in these games xD Now imagine how RNG they're gonna be for the players at this rank. Ngl, I'm rly hoping for 7.33D or 7.34 w/e , to address some things... cause at 1st it was fun & all but now as the patch is mostly "figured out" it turns out it's a very simple, have the better deathball to win, one. Very limited split pushing, pretty huge hero unbalance, kills worth way too much, very hard to get any semblance of map control.
As a support, you do. Bash is too RNG without the damage/attack speed to justify it. Leveling his charge is 0.3s of stun over 0.2s of bash per level, as well as a significantly lower cooldown and more movement speed, all of which directly facilitate his position as a roamer. Q does proc bash, but that doesn't matter if the cooldown is long and in most cases, you're charging a high priority target and don't care much about slightly longer stun on 1-2 heroes that happen to be in the way.

He’s clearly doing the opposite though… he lost the game because he didn’t stick to his guns and tried throwing his corpse into fixing his teammates’ mistakes. At the end of the day you have to play to your hero’s strengths, not waste your hero’s potential as an expense for trying to make up for your teammates’ lack of skill
At some point your 1k mmr friend will learn to balance keeping lanes split and joining good fights, but until then you should learn how to avoid fighting into a disadvantage just because a fight *can* look good
@@Eheroduelist I do hope he will learn that but the thing in those lower mmr games it may get him some mmr but after that only reports if he leaves to push lanes at moments where it is just bad. @@Eheroduelist The thing is i dont think that a "guide" on "how to carry from any position" with BSj who is stacking the advantage as much as possible against him is all to educational in the long run and he says he wants it to be educational
If he is farming lanes, not jungle, and only show up to defend towers, that should be pretty good for 1k. It may look like he is afk farming, but that is really helpful for the team. And if the team doesn't capitalize on that it is their fault, not all games are winnable (even for BSJ as you can see), and that is moreso true for a 1k that doesn't have the mechanics and awarness of BSJ. But I wouldn't be suprised if your friend gets a 60% winrate with this simple tactic.
There is a big miss calculation in how he presents avg mmr and I think he does it on purpose. He says his team average is 2490, but he doesn't calculate his own mmr. If he does it, it reveals that he is not at a disadvantage at all. Let's calculate together (currently his mmr is around 9k) (2490 * 4 + 9000) / 5 = 3792 mmr vs 3420 mmr

0:25 yeah bsj. Thats what i always think aswell
welcome to every game of dota i play regardless of the role. begging my team to stop fighting the enemy whos up 10+ kills and shoving the side waves while they group up and die more. every. fucking. game. without. fail.
Either the video didn't upload properly as its only in 360p. or this is some weird youtube sided thing where they just haven't finished uploading the higher quality versions of the video so you can't view it in 1080 yet.
Your early. Low resolution is always the only quality available. You have to wait for the video to completely upload before you can select the better qualities.
@UNQ haven't had this happen in like 8 years tbh with u and I have been on uploads within minutes or seconds
@@VeryBadPlayerTV odd. I have seen it for several videos I have notifications for. I just wait a couple of hours and it has the better quality available
@@unq161 it's not upload actually, it's the own YT processing in their servers. Anyone can upload a video in few minutes but YT delays it a lot
@@VeryBadPlayerTV first RUclips has to upload your video, and you can choose to make it public before it renders HD or it will to it automatically render after some time if you upload it. It depends on the length of the video, more frames to render, takes longer. He probably had something to do and couldn’t wait, so he just uploaded it
Somehow... I feel at peace to finally watch BSJ lose a smurf match.
I think you could've gotten top barracks and/or more pickoffs than just nyx.
are you blind magnus cancelled his charge
@@InfinitePhysics-iq that's not what I wrote
@@danielspivak3926 the charge was to cancel tp.
@@maixck but only wd was tping at the time, which is why he couldn't catch the cores.
Love the idea of running around with a different boot on each foot...
I loved this. I would like to see what happens if BSJ has to play Chen are some hero he never plays.
shadow blade first item on any core is the low mmr classic
More like a high mmr classic: ruclips.net/video/iq0mH2BYrVs/видео.html
Supports can have a winning average in lower mmrs (assuming you actually are more skilled than your opponents). That being said, doing it as a core is MUCH easier.
Next time i'm feeding i'm gonna call the game getting a little weird.
Watching your ally struggle as they bring an opponents health very low, is very hard to ignore when you have your charge available, but by the time you make it to the fight, more enemies may have shown up already turned the tide
Another problem is, unlike most other "global presence" heros, SB's kit is a bit lackluster once he makes it to the fight.
If i was sb in this team everybody was flaming me for not dying in fights
I've never Lost to a smurf because he was good. It's the trash teammates that keep feeding him that make him win. I don't know what's so hard about never dying. I only die 3 times on average if I lose and once or twice max when I win, even against smurfs (before they push high ground to end). The reason for me losing is always braindead teammates, not smurfs. (Herald II currently). Can anybody help?
Is pos5 supposed to farm this much?
You think getting Oct Core for SB could've save this game? Seems like a popular build.
Do you think some cooldown reduction on the pos5 saves this game? Why?
Oct core is popular on offlane or mid spirit breaker that buys a vanguard for lane, then disassembles into Oct core, just like every other offlaner is doing until vanguard gets patched.
@@alexanderrowan4741 yeh well changing build comes with changing position... Like to a core in the middle of the game
@@spacebarwasd9782 So do you think 25% cdr saves this game? What time would he build it? How does it help?

Very satisfying watching nyx solo kill bsj 😂.
Great video.
Hey BSJ could you smurf as IO please?
For all obvious reasons.
?
Seeing videos in 360p feels so nostalgic
It's already 1080p, YT delays highres a lot, it's usual of the platform
Lesson learnt, never smurf as Pos 5.
1k difference is fking crazy, im 3.5k and if i was to play against a 2.5k i can see it very clearly.
Can we get a "weird" counter going for this
How do you drag the creeps in lane
Judt hit the enemy
2.5k inescapable confirmed
I didnt understand what you could've done better other than trying to help them when they're feeding, push more lanes ? or try to force objectives ? u did them both so what you could've done better to actually win such games ?
welcome to my world bsj. the offlaner with sb, etc...if even u can lose in 2.5k bracket... im not sad anymore.
In your organized smurf games probably hard. In a pub? LMAO I've seen Immortals on losing streaks in Legend, like your account gets flagged and you get the biggest animals that are on the way to Herald
Same 5 experience. Game feels weird xD
Is the "average mmr" including BSJ or just his team mates?
Just teammates of course
Do you think he has guts to play vs team which is at least at the same mmr as his? How would he brag about winning easily then?
@@ashemrushe litarelly uploaded a losing game
Who would win, Immortal Pos 1 and 2 with the rest Archons? OR Immortal pos 4,5 with the rest Archons?
Immortal pos 1 and 2.

duuh immortal pos 1 and 2 obv man they farm in a way u cant imagian lmao while the archon might have maximum 200 cs in 30m immortal would have 400 cs and finished farming already xD
i need to see eye doctor

Can you also play against a team with one player being better than others? Like 4 3k and 1 4k against your 2.5k team
360p?? BSJ quick fix?
Laughs in Nvidia Super Resolution
You can see why 2k supports buy Deso and SB sometimes. :D
bsj feeding = weird
You may have lost as a support, but maybe see how far you can go as other roles.
@@Rasea611 BSJ did regret that he bought too many team items and should've be more selfish this game.
We want a WD smurfing guide
So in conclusion, u cant win a match as supp no matter how good you are if your teammates are stupid
BSJ was stupid too this game
No, BSJ just grief with his item build. He’s trying to fully commit on adapting and playing with his teamates to try to show how to be a team player, which did the opposite , the right thing to do was just to build a close to normal item build which is something with aghs and they would easily win this.
You can if you play mostly for yourself, basically like a core. :D
@@johnstevenalejandro3034 Aghs would've been dumb, I think. They didn't have BKBs so the whole reason you buy it is wasted.
@@Rasea611 You don't buy aghs for bkb pierced, it's for the cooldown, 5 sec cd with octarine is pretty op. I'm spamming bara and never lost with it, try it, it's op no matter what position.
You could have used the lotus on Marci @6:56 to give her last hit on nyx and get exp before dying.
Very limited split pushing, pretty huge hero unbalance, kills worth way too much, very hard to get any semblance of map control.
yeah smurfs can lose, their ego is as fragile as wet toilet paper so you can just grief them as pos 4
Smurfing is harder than playing in your rank😂
you need bkb blademail heart lotus
Does SB really max Q over E?
As a support, you do. Bash is too RNG without the damage/attack speed to justify it. Leveling his charge is 0.3s of stun over 0.2s of bash per level, as well as a significantly lower cooldown and more movement speed, all of which directly facilitate his position as a roamer. Q does proc bash, but that doesn't matter if the cooldown is long and in most cases, you're charging a high priority target and don't care much about slightly longer stun on 1-2 heroes that happen to be in the way.
because you can't carry the game with a support, or it really hard
Bsj god

BSJ played spirit breaker so damn poorly, skillbuild is off, his w usage is very poor, not using drums, and whip, even shadowblade, not stunning nyx bc he would get dmg..... (ofc he is not a sb player, but still)
Skill build was fine though? He went Q over E as you do in a supportive role since it scales better when you don't have the damage/attack speed to make bash worth it early.
@@Rasea611 You don't need atk speed since your charge and ult is guaranteed bash, and he lacked dmg to clear the creepwave in 1 charge bc of this.
they always lose
LOL just pick alch 5 and carry
I’m praying so hard bsj gets his ass whooped.
I thought Wind was playing bad at lane phase, than I saw Shaman playing mid game and DAM Bro, what you doing? LUL
One thing is being bad at the game, another is not listening and not learning from those who are better than you. The Second one is easy
360p gang
I think you are advertising bad habits in those games. I play with a 1k friend that is basicly afk farming pos 5 support and he tells me "but BSJ does this in his smurf games" .I cant realy convince him that you do these things for a reason and he is just greeving because i am not at your level either and he wont listen to me xD
I get why BSJ needs to do that but for ppl who does not know when and where will just get themselves and there mates killed
And if the team doesn't capitalize on that it is their fault,
not all games are winnable (even for BSJ as you can see), and that is moreso true for a 1k that doesn't have the mechanics and awarness of BSJ.
But I wouldn't be suprised if your friend gets a 60% winrate with this simple tactic.
Bsj lost to 3k looool
what a waste of time

There is a big miss calculation in how he presents avg mmr and I think he does it on purpose.
He says his team average is 2490, but he doesn't calculate his own mmr.
If he does it, it reveals that he is not at a disadvantage at all.
Let's calculate together (currently his mmr is around 9k)
(2490 * 4 + 9000) / 5 = 3792 mmr vs 3420 mmr
ofc it's on purpose, if he didn't even (4*0+9000)/5=1800
The idea is to show that a better player can win the game. It failed this time because I outplayed him but usually it works :P
next smurf video. can u do a game with you calling shots for your low mmr team and make them realize their potential. I kinda want to see them having a good time and actually play the game with even if they have low mechanical skills

Of course they can lose. If you don't play 1, 2 or 3 you might lose. You can't win every smurf game with 4 bots in your team :)
