Thank you for mentioning the voice guide function. The accessibility has been improved drastically for hams who are visually-impaired. The Voice Guide function now speaks almost 100% of the menus and other items in what is a very complex radio - over 770 voice prompts! Other things I love about the TH-D75 include: * A nice full-sounding speaker compared to the D74, * a more solid feel in the hand, * Improved transmit audio. Where the limiter can be heard pumping and reacting slowly on the D74, where as this is almost undetectable on the D75. Also, I may be biased, but the D75 is now one of the best-sounding D-STAR radios.
Really enjoyed the review. I have a 74 and don’t plan to upgrade but waiting for the 50 watt mobile. As you may know the NA version has 220 also. And the are the only one of the big three to fully support our 220 band
Thanks for a very good review. I have a D74 don't think the D75 is sufficiently improved to be worthwhile changing... but I'm always open to persuasion!
There is no cheap equivalent to this radio. This is 5W 220-capable, TNC-included radio. For basic handheld 2m/70cm there are definitely lower cost options.

This radio is way too delicate for the price. It has zero water resistance and Kenwood warranty is useless for any water damage. Buyer be warned. Kenwood finally finished the repair. While they charged me for the labor. They did supply the new control board for free.
1 grand Canadian dollar for an HT which is not waterproof, battery life sucks, little tiny display none touch, don't know why Kenwood fan club can claim this is a good buy ???
Great presentation. Thank you. I just realised that someone was translating into English. Good dubbing! 73

7:21 I think you have the AGC set differently between the radios.
I agree

Does audio out via USBc work?
Why buy icom or kenwood when the cheap ones are similar?

If you want to pair the TH-D75 or TH-D74 with iPhone and iPad to use the radio's built-in TNC, check out the B.B. Link adapter
What about GPS acquisition? Has it improved?
Not sure if it has improved but it is surprisingly fast compared to my Yaesu
I f you want hear the audio test, take a look to the german version, because in this one it's muted.
