Thanks for the great video. Showed all the detailed views for me to figure out where the clogged drain holes are in my leaky Ford. I especially appreciate your dedication to getting that shot of the tube from the back side up under the headliner!

I just finished repairing all 4 drains on my 1996 Taurus LX sunroof. I discovered that the clog was caused by the plastic unions coming off the metal sunroof pan to the rubber drain hoses had all melted either partially or completely closed, presumably from our Texas heat. To reach all these was a major undertaking. The car had been parked for a while for some power steering repairs and I found standing water in the passenger front and rear floorboards. I completely gutted the inside of the car so I could do a thorough cleaning, and removed the headliner so I could replace the plastic unions with some brass PEX connectors and adjustable hose clamps. It's all reassembled now and looks and smells new. And no more leaks!

I'll keep an eye on any leaks on my 2006 Ford five hundred, I haven't noticed any so far. But, one issue I have is water getting in my doors, the rear drivers side maybe a little worse. It has tiny drain holes behind the rubber seal on the bottom of the door. Gently pull rubber seal out enough to get something small to clean out the drain holes, while the doors are open, and the water will drain out. Thanks. John

okay so you don't have to pull your headliner down to clear these drains and you certainly do not use compressed air at a high PSI or else you will really destroy shit first of all grab some white vinegar 4 Parts vinegar 1 part water for a strong solution use a turkey baster to pour the vinegar down the holes let that set up for about an hour grab some hot water around a hundred to 110 degrees and pour it down the holes and if necessary blow it out with low compressed air no need to be tearing shit apart.

My 2007 Ford five hundred has wet driver and passenger floors after it rains, I feel like it couldn’t be a couple different things but idk where to begin and of course I just bought this car a couple days ago while I’m in school

Follow the video and clean out the sunroof drain holes on both sides first. Make sure the drain hose is attached like the one I showed on the video. If that doesn't fix, look for leaks along the windshield base.

@@JJCentral-DIY ok, thank you I will. I just took out the cowel panel and cleaned and there was a tons of dirt and leaves, it rained yesterday and the carpet seems ok on drivers side but there was a wet mark again in passenger. I’ll check out sunroof next and windshield

AND CERTAINLY NEVER USE A METAL WIRE AS THIS GUY SUGGESTED, THE BEST THING TO USE IS WEED WACKER CABLE, SOMETHING THICK. AND JUST CONTINUE TO PUSH IN AND OUT AND THEN POUR YOUR HOT WATER DOWN OR SOME VINEGAR AND LET THAT SIT FOR A LITTLE BIT YOU PULL YOUR WEED WACKER LINE IN AND OUT AND IT WILL CLEAR IT PERFECTLY.
