- Come along as we shop for fireworks at Missouri's largest firework tent! This is the Spirit of 76 tent in Columbia, Mo, which is 10,000 square feet! Spirit is home to brands such as Tako, Sky Bacon, 76 Pro Line, Real Tree, and they carry other brands such as Winda, Brothers, Firehawk, and more. We decided to buy a variety of different fireworks in this video. Everything from fun novelties to fountains, rockets, roman candles, firecrackers, fuse, 200g cakes, and artillery shells! If you're on a budget, I recommend skipping the NOABs, Zippers, and Canister Shells, as they will blow your budget quickly! Stay to the end of the video to see our entire firework shopping trip stash!

Here is the wholesale video I mentioned: ruclips.net/video/vIz4KHJvM_s/видео.html
I live in columbia! awesome tent!
Holy cow, those prices are ridiculously high IMO.
Tents are the worst need to find family owned stores that are open year round
Yeah I got those crackling balls for $3 at where I went and he showed them at $4.50
@@Willppyro Yep I have one I go to every year. Small building but when u can get like for example high falutin for $21.00 yea I shop nowhere else
Dang $3? I see them all over for $3.99 normally.
Or look into wholesale!
Despite the high prices, they STILL somehow manage to outdo Phantom Fireworks’ prices 😂
Unfortunately that’s all we got In my area of California. It’s so expensive
Phantom fireworks is higher than giraffe p***y
100.00 at phantom gets you a sparkler and a 200 gram cake
Thanks for the visit Joel! Excellent tour video, can't wait to have you back out. We ❤ Robinson Pyro!
Always a pleasure to visit my friends at Spirit of 76!
Touhge
Goodness those prices!!! Where I go I could get all that for $200-250 easily. Great video anyways
Sounds like you got a nice spot! thank you!
The tent takes me back to my childhood!! Nostalgic!!
I'm all for the nostalgic firework trips!
Those prices! I can think back in the day of how much $500 could really get you!
I watched one of my old videos from 10 years ago, and the price difference is pretty wild. I remember buying Excals wholesale for $22 a 24 kit back in 2013.
It's nice seeing you pick up some of the smaller, budget items.
I wanted to make sure to grab things that anyone could afford and highlight which items are fun and affordable.
yeah
Super excited to see the video about wholesale! As a guy who loves to shoot shows for fun and not profit, that would help me out so much!
That is awesome to hear! It is definitely the way to go if you're spending a lot per year on fireworks.
The price of consumer fireworks is truly a joke anymore. They taxed them to death and the fees and insurance that merchants have to pay to bring these to you is nothing but a cash grab by the state and feds. It’s Chinese cardboard and fertilizer for Pete’s sake. Those prices are 4x what they should be.
The entire firework climate over the last two years has been rough with high shipping costs and the constant firework factory shut downs in China. It's finally starting to stabilize so we will see what the next year or two hold for prices.
@@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnicsyup. Idk how people are spending 100$ a cake. I get 2 24 canister shell packs and cal it good these days
@@Willppyro i found 24 pack of canister shells for $75 bucks, they are 4 inchers but still a good deal with how the prices are now in michigan where i live lol
@@MilkyWay-nq1fk yea that’s a good deal people are paying like 180-220 for a 24 pack that’s insane
@@Willppyro$220 is what I pay for a case of canister shells 😂
These are my favorite types of videos
Glad you enjoyed!
Everyone knows tent & store prices are always high. Which makes videos like these fun to watch in my opinion, seeing all the different price points. Appreciate u for spending all that money for viewers entertainment! Lol going to a tent does bring me back to childhood days tho!
I agree, I have tried to do online wholesale videos and they don't get nearly the same level of views as something like this. I agree, tent shopping is nostalgic!
Damn....... those prices are like 100x more then where i come from HOLY CRAP! 🤯
That’s like being robbed by a guy without a weapon 😂
🔫🎆
Picked up a “Take me to your leader” for $52.99 in the state of Maine. Interesting to see the differences in pricing across the country.
I have seen them retail all over the place. At the wholesale level, the cheapest I have seen is $32.
I love these types of videos. Thanks for posting it.
I'm glad to hear that and my pleasure!
How old is excited to see a fireworks tent but I know I’ll be paying more🔥🔥
Lol, right! I drove by 4 different tents today and wanted to stop at them all. I'll have to go back at another time
I haven't been able to find a Dragon Duel yet. It's one of my "must buys". I love anything with the swimming stars effect. Twistee from Shogun is another one I REALLY want.
I believe it is new for this year, so hopefully some places near you stock it!
Great pickup and nice tent tour thank you so much pyro
Glad you enjoyed!
Love your shopping videos
I'm glad to hear you enjoy!
I got the “Take me to your leader” firework for $40 at my local reservation. And a 9 shot “Inked” cake for $60
That's a great price! My best wholesale pricing is about $32 for take me to your leader.
Gotta love Missouri. Great product
I'd argue it's the capital of fireworks
@@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnics no complaints there. I’ve been plenty of times. Love the Midwest
@@kiodiekin Cheap cost of living, that's for sure!
@@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnics lol. Is that animal park still there in Lebanon
@@kiodiekin I have no idea honestly
Rocket fireworks in wright city mo is best prices in the nation. Have never seen anyone even come close. Interesting to see the spirit tent. Saved me the drive.
How do they compare against the Firework Super Store? I have not been down to Rocket, but everyone keeps saying positive things about it.
Blows the superstore away on price. Selection is obviously less but they have all the best stuff at prices well bellow any other store in the country. And its a great family owned business.
Omg those prices are insane!
Check out the wholesale video I just posted!
@@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnics I did, good video. I buy from Boomland Missouri every year. Haven’t bought from tents in years
@@50Fireworks That's a good spot to buy. Probably one of the better ones in the state!
Spirit if 76 always has a great setup and selection
I really like their Tako line and I use a bunch of their pro line products too.
This is making me buy fireworks my self this is really cool
Dragon Duel is fantastic! You are right though. If spending around 500 dollars. Better off wholesaling.
Oh that's great to hear and makes me more excited! That is why I wanted to make this video plus the wholesale one.
Next to the UFO fountain that Ice cream cone is an overload it’s bad ass pick it up on your next purchase 🤙🏻
Oh, good to know! I'll have to grab some of those
Since you in Missouri you should go down to bax fireworks my go to store
I'll have to see what I can do in the future!
I'd go nuts on those novelties. There's a mom and pop place I drive to that have the most insane novelty isle I've ever seen. Dragon Duel looks super cool. That's an effect I was looking to get this year, so I picked up a case of The Scrambler by Raccoon, but after firing one to test, I wish I would have grabbed a case of Dragon Duel. Some effects just work better in smaller cakes, and I think that scrambling effect may be one of them - but we'll see. It'll be awesome either way. We should keep in mind that it's those high prices people pay that wait until the last minute - or just want to have a little fun on the fourth - it's what helps keep the wholesale prices down. I think sometimes us serious pyros forget that not everybody is insane like us. Lol.
That's awesome about that mom and pop shop! I am really looking forward to Dragon Duel for that scrambling effect. You don't see that in a lot of consumer fireworks.
Yeah, the average person that shops at tents like this are spending under $100. Most of us 1k+ a year people are already buying wholesale.
Glad to see you back Joel I have watched you for years!! i just moved back to Indiana maybe we can meet in future!!
Thanks for stopping by! I've been pumping out new videos every week. Most definitely, I am generally at all the major pyro events, including the NFA that will be in Fort Wayne in September this year.
One of the best firework company names sky bacon luv it!
I love that most of that line is all pig puns lol.
@@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnics was just at a local fireworks company called surefire and they have a cake called hanging with the gnomies 😂 cake has gnomes on the wrapping. Gotta love it.
@@ronaldlatosinski4066 yes I love that! Hahahaha
Still better than TNT and Phantom lol. I’ve been sticking to wholesale for the past 4-5 years now. Thanks for the tour!
Wholesale is definitely where it is at!
Jeez those prices are steep
Right, $21 for that 6pc small item at the beginning is crazy.
@@WhoIsJadore right a 6pc of ball shells used to be under 10 dollars it's sad what's going on
Go back and watch some of my shopping trip videos from 10 years ago. It's a bit wild how much prices have changed
I want you to go to this guy in Ashland Mo he has really great prices and knows his stuff
You’ve ever shopped threw sheltons they got good bang for your money they have 7in canister shells 6pc for 30.99 an they were definitely worth every bit of it going back to get few more cases
I have one that is 25 minutes from my house. I haven't been in there in 3 years though. Did a tour video on it like 10 years ago and should do an updated one to see how prices have changed over the last 10 years. That'd be fun!
Awesome vid Joel! Long time fan, been watching since the "sammy shot" days.
Oh that's a real throwback! Thanks for watching all these years
Nothings better getting to watch Joel burn through his wallet getting some 76 pyro 🙌😂 can’t wait for the free demos

BBQ!
Crazy prices! Used to buy wholesale from Spirit of ‘76 but felt their prices were getting out of line with some of their wholesale competitors.🤷♂️🇺🇸
I buy wholesale from them pretty much annually. For me it's mostly about their proline and the Tako line.
Outrageous prices
Turbo charged are 1.5" cans!!! I was going to get a case of 6/24 for only $240 at wfboom but passed on them this year.... I'm excited for your review on them to see if I made a mistake or not!!
Yeah I didn't realize that until the end either. I'll do a standalone video on them so everyone can see and compare against some regular cans too.
@@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnics hell yeah! Excited to see it!
They’re great shells. Hit like a regular 4” canister and the effects are excellent
@@ocwhiteguy85 nice, that's what I was hoping for haha
Wow, those turbocharged shells look cool; I've got to try them out. Nice Video👍🏻
Thanks for watching!
Those turbo charged shells are 30 gram shells. Theyre still really great.
I look forward to lighting them!
I like the variety of the selections but $20 for one package of Quick fuse is insane.
Yeah mostly because of how rare quick fuse is these days. I haven't found it for cheaper than $15 this year.
Im glad i live in a cheaper area. Just went to a tent and although they only sold fountains their prices ranges from 75 cents to 60 dollars. I bought 60 bucks at the tent and the store it would have been 200-300 $ in a brick and mortar): i wish fireworks were cheaper
I think all of us pyros would agree with you too
Wow pretty high prices! The matrix pyro near me in new hampshire is $18.95, had a sale memorial day weekend where everything was buy one get one half off so came to $14 each! I understand a lot of places have these prices but it is important for people to know there are other options including wholesale, etc. prices probably also vary a lot depending on the state too I would assume. Looking forward to your wholesale video!
Yeah, that's why I like to do these types of videos followed by a wholesale video. That's a good deal on those Matrix Pyros!
Cool do..only Novelties...love it
I tried to add novelties in there so there was something for everyone!
Thanks god they put the price some ……… what reasonable 😂 for turbo charged shells cause smaller box less tubes stil high price 😅 nice lovely video !
Thanks for watching!
I want to start a petition to legalize unsafe and sane fireworks like these kinds of fireworks in California. Who’s down? If so, like this comment.
Those prices make me realize that living in michigan ain't so bad lol. That nishiki ghost noab is damn near the price i paid for northern beast and dday😬
Michigan ain't so bad! Haha, I love it
Great mix Joel. I have a lower price point so stay clear of the 500g and canister shell's. Been going to the same store for 35 years and they treat me very well.
That is awesome to hear man!
Those prices are ridiculous. IMO fireworks have just gotten too expensive lately, but I’m still finding a way to save money.
I live in Indiana, but all the best fireworks deals seem to be in Michigan. I saved several hundred dollars on my show this year by buying cases of fireworks from Red apple, then buying the rest of my items from Pro Fireworks in Michigan. Occasionally Pro fireworks will run a deal where you can buy heavily discounted shells or cakes for wayyy less than their usual price. I’ve seen them run specials like $40 canister shell kits or a case of 6 500G cakes for $100.
My strategy this year was to wait for Pro fireworks to run a deal on their shells kits, buy all my shells on that day, then pick up my cases of fireworks from red apple on the same day. I did this all the way back in March. If I were to buy the same fireworks right now, I would be spending $600-700 more.
Have you looked into buying wholesale? I have a few videos on the topic that you may find helpful. Regardless, you're doing it right and buying when there are deals to be had!
I got them cracling balls for 2.50 today😂
Good price!
@@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnics thanks
The quest shells in this video are $149.99... Rocket fireworks in St. Louis (ish) Missouri has them for $60. Amazing store.
That's a nice price for sure. A lot of people seem to recommend Rocket, but I have not been there personally.
@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnics For sure. They're super helpful and have great prices. Nothing against this tent, just wanted to extend a headsup to people willing to drive more!
$230 for one firework that will last 30 seconds is crazy you can get Janet and Sara at the same time for an hour for that price an have change for a bag of fries
Wow. Those prices are insanely high!! Shouldn’t have been more then a $150 for those few items. Happy I’m 1.3 now. I’d never go back to consumer!!
And that is why I just posted a video on buying wholesale too.
Thanks Joel for the walkthrough tents in pa can only sell snakes and sparklers if you know what I mean but stores can sell the good stuff.
Oh really? Didn't know that and that is pretty wild lol
Thanks for the video I have not bought retail in probably two or three years can’t believe how expensive retail is $500 and you barely got anything you did get some nice things though
I feel you, I primarily buy wholesale as well.
@@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnics
Oh, I know I watch most of your videos you got great content man love your store tours
@@Midlopyro469king Right on, thanks for the support!
I picked up a case of smoke in mirror for the forth also a case of 500g called crack of dawn 16 shot by brothers and those breaks are incredible and really good altitude.
Solid stuff for sure!
5 years ago you could get 5 times that amount and I would not have gotten the small stuff for over $100, you could have bought artillery shells for that price and your kids love you even more...!
Haha, you are not wrong!
I hope that stand supported a charity group or church or something because those prices made me cringe. Even at a $500 budget wholesale is the only way to go.
That's why I mentioned wholesale at the end and have a video coming out this week on the topic!
Man y’all have it good lol. Why are people complaining about the prices. Those prices seem so reasonable & beautiful 2 me since I’m from California which equals “illegal fireworks” here. man once these fireworks get here it’s an arm & leg on single items & even more expensive for whole packs 😢😂
Which is crazy because that is basically people driving over to Pahrump, NV, and bringing stuff back to resell.
Oh my god I forgot about you!!! So bad ass to see you’re still making the vids. Can’t believe the 4th is already around the corner im so excited😂 I remember my budget being $150 when I first started watching you, and I’m lucky enough to say this year it’s 1.3 k. So fucken excited.
Haha welcome back to the channel! I'm still here making too many videos lol. That is awesome to hear on your 1.3 journey!

I picked up 2 of 99 Red Balloons from my guy in West Virginia. The video on them looked really good...Nice video
Good to hear! Yeah I thought that one sounded like a solid 200g cake
I have noticed i get more 200gm cakes and let other people spend the money on the 500s. Yes they are nice but i like long and more shots for my money.
That is a great strategy. I always say 200g cakes are underrated!

Oof, some of those prices are just outrageous. 95 for a girandola? I got that exact same one for $35. Those 500g for over 100 each, I’m in shock lol. How are fireworks so much money lately?

Wow for a tent in Missouri, those prices were steep!
I find tents are generally more expensive than brick & mortar shops.
Let's goooooo
Almost the 4th!
Just picked up a wholesale order from 76 yesterday and stopped by the tent. Don't understand how the tent stays in business with the wholesale prices. But also stopped at Rocket's Fireworks in Wright City on the way home, retail priced at wholesale. Case prices were the same or cheaper than I paid at 76 with gold pricing. Kinda disappointed. Could have 3 hours of driving. Live and learn.
Most people just don't know about wholesale, or, they don't like having four of the same 500g cake. Rocket's sounds like an awesome spot
I’d be traveling acrosss state lines or ordering online with those tent prices lol
And that is exactly what I did to show the difference between tent and wholesale: ruclips.net/video/vIz4KHJvM_s/видео.html

I'm right there with you
I'd pass on the parachute stuff. Can't wait to see Dragon Duel. I'd go for that one too. Do you ever go to the Fireworks Superstore in Hannibal, Missouri like the Backyard Fireworks guy does?
I stop in there all the time actually, including on the way home from this trip! I did a tour video of that store like 10 years ago and would love to go back to show how much is changed (including pricing etc.)
Crazy high prices I got summer sizzle 9 dollars cheaper

@@dalesutton3243 I'll keep an eye out for that one!
My sources tell me fireworks sales are down significantly, at least in my area
I believe it. Prices went up up uppity last year and I feel like there is still a ripple effect going on.
my dad stopped at a local tnt tent that sets up every year here in central pa. they cant have arial items since they have no sprinkler system or some sort of restriction however he just wanted to see prices and he said most of the small fountains were 15-20 dollars each! like wtff
That is interesting about the PA laws on sprinkler systems. In a lot of other states, temp tents are exempt from sprinkler systems as long as they are X distance away from stuff, have 24 hour security, etc. So you have someone literally sleeping in the tents here lol. Yeah, tent prices are usually on the high side, especially TNT and Phantom locations unless you have their buy one, get two coupons.
@@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnics The tents here in PA sold aerial’s like two years ago but then had to get rid of them since they didnt have the proper safety systems aka a sprinkler system. We usually take a two ish our drive to badaboom fireworks or sky king fireworks. Wild how its changing lol
